Meet the good old Izuku Midorya. The resident cinnamon roll and resident problem child for his teachers. A good man living a good and healthy life. At least, that's what he thinks. Truth be told, Midorya has lost his sense of bravado, which in writer terms means that he doesn't really stand up for himself anymore. A bad relationship here, a bad relationship there. It's no wonder he's retreated into himself without knowing he's done so.
A few months earlier, Midorya was dating a nice girl named Mina Ashido. He really fell for her. Taking her out. Buying her handbags. All the works of a man who loves his woman. And what did she do? Let's see her speak for herself
"I can't let this eat me up anymore. Izuku...Midorya. I have to break things off."
Mina says
Midorya thought something was strange when Mina asked him to stay in the common room when everyone else had left, but boy did he not know the half of it.
"Um... well... why, what did I do?"
Midorya asks, confused
"I've been..... I've been sleeping with kirishima for the past week.... I feel awful to have to keep lying to you... I just... I have to tell you."
"You feel awful?"
Midorya retorts quickly before calming back down and looking her in the eyes
"But why? Ashido..... why? You said we were destined... soul mates."
Midorya asks softly
"Kirishima. You have to understand that Kiri and I are an exact match for each other... I was wrong about us, Midorya. I'm sorry. But I must go."
Mina looks at midorya one last time before walking towards the elevators across the room. Leaving him in the dark
"Hey Ashido!"
Midorya yells out
Mina turned around momentarily
"I'll see you around!"
Midorya says before flashing his signature smile
Mina waves with a small one herself before finally departing from the scene. Little did Midorya or anyone else know. Mina took a part of Midorya with her. Thus leading to his "Turn the other cheek" attitude, which would then lead to something deep inside of him to have enough. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's focus on the present time.
Midorya buttons up his jacket and fixes his tie in his mirror. His morning routine is interrupted by a few knocks on his dorm room door
Opening said door, Midorya smiles at the sight of Bakugo standing there. The childhood friend/bully and now genuine friend.
"Hey man!"
Midorya beams
"Morning, Midorya."
Bakugo groans
"How's it going?"
"I should be asking you that."
Bakugo says, facepalming
