Chapter twenty

Elsa's POV

As i strolled hand in hand with Jack in the gardens I remebered a lot of the times when my guardian would do this. I only remeber him slightly, his face is a blur. ~Flashback~ "Come on Snowflake! You can do much better than that"! He called making a snowball. I laughed as I felt the cold air around me. I breathed it in, letting it fill me up. Then, i concentrated and made a large snowball over my head. "I'm gonna get you Guardian!" His eyes widened as he flew out of the way. "No fair! No flying in the game cause that's cheating!" He laughed. "Well, to make it up to you how about I take you flying snowflake?" My eyes lite up and I squealed. "Yes yesyesyesyes! Come on let's go!" I said clambering onto his shoulders. He grabbed me off and held me underneath him so I could see the view as he flew higher and higher. I saw the twinkling lights of the windows in the village below as my guardian held me safe and snug in his arms. I felt his arms tighten around me as I saw black and gold sand snake through the night sky. "What's that?" I asked curiously. The gold sand intrigued me but I did not want to find out about that black sand, it was creepy. I then saw two men. They appearsd to be battling. One was standing on a cloud made from the golden sand and had a cute little face that looked like it was more used to smiling then the grim look it had now and the other, a tall thin man with grey skin and yellow eyes with blackened teeth on a horse made from his black sand. My guardian then dropped to the ground. "Elsa, I need you to run back to the palace. Make sure that your family is safe. I need to go now." He started to fly away but I grabbed his hoodie sleeve. "Will you come back for me?" He smiled. "Of course snowflake, I could never leave you." He then kissed the top of my head, muttered something I could not make out into my hair and flew off. I never saw him again after that. He had abandoned me and I was locked away in my room, never to see the outside world again. I gave up on the idea that he was ever coming back and stopped believing. But I never truly forgot him. ~End of Flashback~ I was stirred back from my memory as I saw Jack staring at me with a small smile on his face. "What?" I asked him. "You're beautiful he replied. I blushed and looked at the ground. "Thank you." "So you agree that you're beautiful." I then simply stared at him. He put his hand on my cheek and I leaned in. We were bout to kiss when Jack turned his head away. I fought back tears. I thought he liked me but I guess I was a fool. "Excuse me." I said as I ran away with tears pricking my eyes. "Elsa! Wait!" I heard him cry as I ran as fast as I could back to my bedroom. Never again. I swore. Never again would I give my heart away. I sang a song that expressed every emotion I had felt as I was rejected.

I'm running after you, but I can't get through the glass

My heart pounding hard I have to double back

I do believe if I don't find you then I shall die

I sang burying my head in my knees and sobbing.
