Walking

*Three weeks later*

Ella's P.O.V.

Moving. Thats all we've done since three weeks ago. We drove off. I think were going to Washington. I had Shayle in my arms and Carl was next to me holding Judith as Rick drove.

It was silent and i could tell Carl wanted my attention. Not in that dirty way, he just wanted me to talk to him or even hold his hand. I couldn't because i didn't want Shay to fall off me if they took a sharp turn. Carl started getting annoyed by this so I grab his hand.

"Happy?" I ask in a whisper.

Carl shoves my hand away and I roll my eyes. "You don't get it." he whispers.

The car slowly came to a stop. "Out of gas. We have to walk here on out." Rick says. We all got out of the car with our things and Carl stayed his distance from me.

Today we didn't get along we started arguing over whether Shay was hungry or not which she was! I told him and he got pissed and now he tries to get me to not be annoyed with him but it hasn't worked today. I walked next to him in the front of the group.

"Carl can we stop this? Please?" I ask in a hush tone since everybody was behind us. He didn't say anything as I adjusted Shayle to where her head was laying on my shoulder and i had my arm supporting her from under her bum then my other hand on her back.

"Carl why are we even doing this?" I ask and he still stayed silent. "Fine." i huff and just kept walking next to him. I started to hear groaning and looked behind me.

There were walkers a few feet away but no body did anything because we can just walk away from them. I sigh "Carl please this silence is killing me. Baby whats even wrong?" I ask. Carl sighs

"Its....its stupid." Carl says.

"But it still upsets me." he whispers. "What is it?" I ask.

"I cant even take care of my daughter!" Carl says with tears starting to form in his eyes.

"Wait.....is this about this morning?" I asks. "Carl baby its not your fault you didn't know what was wrong." i say defending him from his own self.

"Your a wonderful father Carl and you always will be." i say. Carl shakes his head

"I don't feel like one" he sighs. I kiss his cheek

"But you are one baby." i say and Carl smiles.

"Now be happy please. I love seeing your smile." i say. Carl blushes and i giggle

."Im gonna go look for water." Daryl says.

"Can i come?" Carol asks

"I can go by myself." Daryl says.

"Has that ever stopped me?" Carol asks. They left and Carl wrapped and arm around my shoulders. He kisses my temple

"I love you." he mumbles on my temple and i smile as he pulls away.

"I found this music box and I think im gonna give it to Maggie since she's been so down." Carl says and i smile

"Your so freaking sweet." i giggle and he smiles. Carl hands Judith ti Rick and goes gives Maggie the music box. He comes back and I kiss his lips.I look up at Carl

"You had like a growth spurt i know it! You are getting really tall." i laugh. Carl smiles

"Its ether that or your shrinking princess." Carl says and we laugh. Judith lifts her head up from Carl's shoulder and rubs her eyes with her tiny hands.
