Yibo lowered himself into the couch at the lobby of the convention hall, the phone in one hand. He's still thinking whether to answer Sean's message about getting the job which is no longer a news for him. Part of him couldn't believe that Sean got the job he actually wanted to offer. Another part of him was bothered of the thought that Sean might think he pulled some strings for him to be able to land the job vacancy.

He's beginning to wonder with himself why he's being heedful of what Sean may think of him. Was his Mom right all this time? Has he developed some liking towards Sean?

The need to redeem himself in Sean's eyes is driving him crazy, just like the time he went crazy over snooping Sean's private journal. Speaking of which, he can still clearly remember all those entries he have read that made him unconsciously wanting to read more and explore more...and probably imagine more.

Some of the attendees that he met at the Asia Pacific Economic Convention invited him for a happy hour but he smoothly refused. He told them a lie that he had a scheduled video conference with the executives in his company. The truth is, he's not the type to mingle with people he hardly knew. It's one of the things that confuses him too. He met Sean just a few days ago but the urge to be near him or see him was quite strange.

Due to tiredness and boredom from the convention, he asked his personal assistant to drive him straight to the hotel where they stay.

Upon arrival at his room, he put his things down on the center table and prepared to freshen up.

He had just finished dressing up when his phone received a message.
Yibo's heartbeat suddenly became erratic when he saw where the message came from...

Sean: I already know you're the CEO of WE, Sir Yibo...

Yibo's eyes went glued to the phone's screen. He was in deep thoughts on how to reply Sean.

Should I just tell him the truth? Why do I feel like I betrayed his trust when I never did anything wrong?

After weighing in his contradictory thoughts, he called Sean...

"Sorry, that wasn't uncalled for nor I intended not to tell you... I just knew it the day your interview ended and the panel made up their mind to chose you. I never had anything to do with the results..."
(Woah😁... quite a lengthy reasoning)

Sean just laughed at the end of the line. " You don't need to feel guilty Sir Yibo. We both never knew that it's actually your company that I applied for a new job."

"Stop calling me Sir Yibo... you aren't at work."

"But I should, you are now my boss."

"Just call me that if we're at work, ok?"

"Ok, your wish is my command, Sir!"

"There you go again..."

"Ha ha ha!...ok, ok, ok!"

"Welcome to the company, then! Treat me when I'm back, I haven't erased your messages yet."

"Thanks for your early welcome Yibo. I'll treat not just you, but your family as well."

"You can treat them now even without me. Then I'll be next...when I'm done here."

Sean giggled silently with Yibo's suggestion. The thought of being with him alone excites him.

"Ok, if you say so. Bye..."

"Bye!"

Yibo feels like he's in cloud nine after being able to talk with Sean. His worries suddenly disappeared just like that.
