I don't believe in a hell, but I could imagine that this was somewhat close to what it felt like, my calfs and thighs felt like they were on fire from the inside out and I had a cramp forming in my ribs from the amount of effort I was putting into this five mile run he put me in.
He blew his whistle for me to take a break and I collapsed on the black mat, breathing heavily as I wiped sweat from my forehead with the back of my hand.
Before he had me do the run we did multiple different cardio "warm-ups" and exercises and a few different leg exercises.
"That's enough for today, go grab a blue mat and stretch it out." He crossed his arms across his chest as I did what he said.
After I was done I walked over to the elevator and I pressed the arrow key pointing up and waited patiently for it to open.
After several minutes it opened and I felt myself lose balance and before I hit the floor someone grabbed my arm, sending little tingly shocks through my whole arm and my eyes widened at the alienated feeling.
I looked up to see the man from earlier and he gently stood me and and I barely croaked out "W-What are you?.." he stood the for a moment, pressing his lips together before walking past me.
I slipped into the elevator and tried collecting my thoughts. I started to feel this emptiness after he left, those sparks lit up my skin and made me feel alive inside, but now that feeling is gone and I was alone.
That night, my dreams were clouded with Nightmares of consuming darkness, drowning, and unknown fears crept at every corner. After what felt like hours I woke up in a sheen of wet skin as I climbed out of bed to pace the floor.
I contemplated on why I was having such bleak and terrifying things haunt me every night. I decided to open the window to get some fresh air into the room.
I stood at my window for quite some time, counting the stars until I snapped back to reality when my stomach growled hungrily at me. I groaned, and walked over to my door and sliding the key card in to go downstairs to grab something to eat from the kitchen.
I felt a presence in the kitchen as I walked down the cold steps and I stopped at the doorway to see who it was. I wasn't surprised when it was the man that I wasn't introduced to earlier that day.
I pushed away my questionable feelings to the back of my mind when I walked to the pantry for some cereal. I felt his eyes burning the back if my head and I stifled a grin and poured some cereal into a bowl.
Feeling awkward I decided to interrupt the silence. "So, um, what's your name?". He hesitantly paused, taken back by my question but answered none the less "Jake." His voice was deep, but I felt like I could swim in it all day.
He made no effort to go into conversation and left a couple minutes after. You're so bad at conversation. I froze. "Who's there?" Shhh! You'll wake someone up! I was dumbfounded at what was happening. "Who are you?" I asked quieter. You'll find out in time. My name is Adeline.
I'm going crazy. I nervously laughed to myself. I'm hearing voices now. You are not going crazy Kai, I'm your Zöron. I paced quietly on the kitchen tile contemplating the voice in my head. "Does everyone have a Zöron?" I asked nervously truly hoping I wasn't insane. No only Werewolfs. "So what am I?" You are a Werewolf, more importantly, the Luna of your pack. Your time is coming, your wolf was suppressed when you fell into that coma. But she wont be gone forever.
I rubbed my arms, taking in this new knowledge that was beginning to set into my brain. "Will you walk me through this? When the time comes?" Yes, I will always be here.
I took a deep breath and put my bowl in the sink and drug myself upstairs and plopped onto my bed. I didn't get much sleep, thoughts were swimming in and out of my mind until I heard the birds sing and the sunlight crept into my bedroom.
