I stared at him for what seemed like hours as we sat in my bed. He just stared back into my eyes before wiping one last tear away, "Breakfast is ready. See you down there".

And with that he got up, slid his key card card in my door slot, and left. I was utterly confused, and picked up the card that they use to open doors off my dresser and slid it in the door slot and it opened immediately.

I walked out into the chilled hallway as the door shut behind me. I walked around the corner and suddenly realized that I had no idea where I was going-or supposed to go.

I groaned as my stomach growled hungrily. Well he said 'down' there didn't he? I walked in circles until I found the nearest staircase. I shook my head at the choices of color and interior design that were made for this place.

I stepped onto the first stair and shivered at how cold it was. I headed down the twisted spiral staircase as the smell of pancakes and cinnamon filled my nose and made my stomach growl.

I turned around the corner and everything seemed to stand still as four pairs of eyes stared into me. I stared back for a moment and tilted my chin upwards as I took a seat a couple chairs down from everyone else.

After feeling everyone's eyes burning a hole in the side of my head. Mark chuckled softly at my agitation and broke the silence.

"Here, let me introduce you guys", I softened my attitude a bit. "This, is Abbi" he placed his hand on top of the short girls head. She had pale blonde curls that she somehow twists into a casually messy braid. And her pale blue eyes are like water under ice in a pond. She looked over at me silently and sent me a kind smile.

"And this, is Zack." He also placed his hand on top of the boys freakishly unnaturally orange hair. He smiled big and shoved his mouth with more food. He tried to say 'Hiya' but nearly choked on how much food he was stuffing, I stifled a laugh.

And then he puts his hand on the large wolf like creature that I remembered was in the picture of our team. "This, is Zahalu." His deep emerald eyes pierced through  my soul. His fur was as black as the night sky, and he had a scar that looked like an animal clawed his eye that started from his forehead- down to his muzzle. I waved awkwardly and he returned with a nod.

I half- expected Mark to introduce me to the man who was in my room -my dream even- but I realized he wasn't even down here.

After breakfast I was told to go upstairs and change before we started training.

I used common sense and put on a pair of black leggings and a minty green tank top and slipped outside and into an elevator to go down to the training grounds in the basement.

As I pressed my thumb against the 'Training room' key, the black haired man hurried into the side of the elevator and stumbled backwards for a moment when he noticed me there.

I looked down at my feet as the elevator doors closed and sighed at the awkward silence between us.

I stayed silent and a relief washed over me as the elevator doors opened and I shuffled away from his head burning gaze and instead was greeted by a much friendlier face.

"Good morning Kai." Mark waved and I smiled up at him but frowned when I saw the look he was giving mark before the elevator doors closed, I knew what today was going to bring, just by his sarcastic gesture. I bit my lip and mentally prepared myself.
