I wasn't entirely sure where I'd find him, now that I think about it I've only run across him once or twice. I pushed thoughts and analyzations of earlier to the far back of my mind.

I walked down the cold steps, rubbing my arms as I walked into the dining area. Try using your sense of smell, do you remember his scent? I focused on the different smells in the air, trying to weed his out, before finally catching a drift I walked to the back of the kitchen area and onto the top roof, where he was sitting quietly.

He was sitting with his legs crossed Indian style, his eyes fixated in front of him and I sat next to him the same way. I knew he noticed me when the hairs on his neck and face stood on end.

"Took you much longer than I had expected from you Kai." His mouth didn't open to speak, and my breath caught before assuming we had some sort of link in our minds, which would have bothered me but nothing surprises me much anymore. His voice was deep and rough, with a kindness behind his words.

"I know. As you can probably assume I've been overwhelmed with uncertainty over everything."  I let out a deep sigh and I looked up at the cloudy sky, deep blue peeping through the tiny cracks.

"I have noticed your struggle. But I believe when all is said and done, this will make you stronger than you ever were. The tension put on your mind through this will change the way you think completely once you regain full consciousness".

I didn't understand what he meant by that, but I'm sure I'll figure that out sooner or later. "What am I?", I was reluctant to ask.

"You were a member, and more importantly the Luna of the Sundance pack. You have lived a longer life than you think, your history stretches far back."

I was left for no words, I felt completely clueless. The person I had in my mind of who I was, was completely different from who I actually was."What is a Luna?"

"The Alpha runs the pack alone before finding his mate, and then she becomes the Luna, hence she is the second alpha of the pack, second in command. A wolf only has one mate in all their lifetime."  There was much pride in his voice, as if this meant a great deal to him.

I nod quietly, and enjoy the breeze, "Who was that man, that snapped my arm a few days ago? Jake wouldn't tell me..", He froze immediately and I felt the rage seeping from him. "Jake!", he roared before storming to the door, practically ripping it off.

My face went white and I knew I fucked up.

I ran downstairs and stopped in my tracks as a chair flew into the wall, I stood behind it, out of sight as I listened.

"How could you? Do you know what would have happened if we lost her?", Zahalu was shouting at Jake, and I could feel he was holding back immensely.

"I had it under control! She's mine! I would never let anything happen to her.", his words trailed off in growls.

Zahalu began growling back and Jake didn't take it too kindly either, "You dare defy me, don't inform me on how to protect her. You underestimate my strength?",

More objects were thrown before I heard the most god awful sound, cracks and growls erupted from Jake,  who now sounded more animal than human.

I peeked over the corner of the wall, and Jake was no longer there and instead it was a large deep brown wolf who was in mid-leap and pinned down Zahalu onto the ceramic floor, I winced when I heard his head hit against it.

I watched anxiously before running between them, and in the process ended up with a huge gash in my forearm from a piece of jagged glass sticking out of the table. One hand I held out in front of Jake, and my back facing Zahalu, my other arm holding my arm which was dripping with warm blood.

I walked cautiously over to Jake, caressing his muzzle. "Please?". He hadn't realized I was injured and when he did he shifted back immediately and picked me up, which I thought was over-dramatic but he carried me upstairs, leaving Zahalu alone to clean up their mess.

He sat me down on his bed, and I laid my arm on my lap in hopes of keeping blood off his sheets. "Don't worry about it", I shivered and tried to keep my thoughts quiet as he came  back with a small basket of medical supplies.

I did my best to not wince whenever he touched the cut, "I won't stitch it because it will most likely be healed before tomorrow", he said as he wrapped it up and set my arm back in my lap and set the basket on the table, kneeling down in front of me looking off into the distance, his hand midway through his hair.

His eyes were fixated on the pillow beside me, and he didn't move a muscle until he relaxed under my hand that I had reached out to his cheek.

He looked up at me for a moment before holding the back of my hand and brought it closer to him, closing his eyes. The small tingles soon went away to a warm feeling that melted all my troubles away, like nothing else in that moment mattered.

Bliss.

In that moment. I wanted nothing more than to have my memories, to have remembered him, us, this wonderful group of people that surround me.

I don't know how long we sat there for, I could honestly care less. I ended up sliding down onto the floor in front of him, and he pulled me close and held me until I fell asleep.
