We walked through the doors and through the long hallway. I subconsciously rubbed my arms that were currently freezing.
We finally reached the end of the hall to meet an almost cold grey door. He pushed his card into the card slot that was placed in the wall.
The double doors opened and a sudden warm homeliness washed over me and I stepped into the dimly lit room with a smile as I looked around to see paintings and drawings and dozens of shelves with picture frames hung and set over the dark blue walls.
A bed was in the corner with black sheets and dark shaded blankets scattered, a few pillows here and there.
My daze was interrupted by the voice of the man behind me, "We left it exactly as it was when you left that day".
And at that exact moment, excruciating pain went through my body and I fell onto my knee's holding my head in my hands.
Flash's of image's appeared in my head, pieces of memories flashed through my mind. Happy and sad moments that I shared in this room came flooding back.
After a couple of minutes the pain subsided and I relied on the man's shoulder to help me walk over to the bed.
I held my head in my hands for a minute and broke the silence," I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name?", I looked over with a pained face and he looked down at me "It's Mark", I made a 'hm' sound and stood back up, relief washed over me as if the pain from 2 minutes ago was years away. "Where to next?".He held out his hand to the door and shut it as we left to head back down the hallway to a pale black door that turned out to be an elevator.
We stepped in and he pressed the 3rd floor button and the doors shut in front of us.
We reached the floor and I followed close behind him as we entered a spaced out room filled with weapons and practice dummies lined up against the wall.
"I'm guessing this is the training room?", I walked around the large middle spaced area while Mark picked up something behind me and I managed to turn around just in time to catch it.
It was a silver bow with a quiver attached to it."Show me what you can do."
He stood there with his arms crossed and he looked forward at the target dummies in front of me.
I removed the quiver from the bow and I retrieved an arrow from it. I put it in the string and pulled back to the far back of my cheek and took a deep breathe as I centered my aim onto the dummy and fired.
The arrow slid against my cheek and shot through the air and punctured the dummy's neck. I lowered the bow and looked over at Mark grinning. "Good enough?" he chuckled.
"I think you've got your bow and arrow skills under control" he said and picked up a simple iron sword. "Lets see how your swordsmanship is".
