A loud thump followed by a silent scream and whimpers was what woke Atsumu up early in the morning. The first thing he did was to check the place where you would usually lie next to him, only to find the still warm space empty. With a blank mind the setter shot up, throwing the blanket off him and rushing into the living room where the noise was coming from.
Atsumu could hear the pounding of his heart in his ears, almost suffocating all of the other noises around him. The cold are in the living room hit his bare legs that weren't covered by the shorts he was wearing and he started to shiver, but ignored the cold.
"(Y/N)?!" He saw your figure cowering on the ground in the dark, soft whimpers echoing through the silent room. Atsumu rushed to you and kneeled down next to your curled up body. "Fuck-is everything ok? No obviously not..."
"(Y/N), you can hear me right?"
"Y-yes." You choked out, holding onto your knee while you only felt pain.
"Do I need to call an ambulance?" He asked, trying to stay calm.
"N-No. Hrngggg." The pain hit in waves, everytime you just moved a little bit, everything hurt.
"Should I drive ya to the hospital?"
"I don't think so...j-just g-give me a m-moment..." You spoke through gritted teeth, trying to handle the pain.
"Are ya sure?"
"Mhhhh...yes!"
"What happened? Wait lemme turn on the lights..." You heard Atsumu walk away from you and after a moment the light of the lamp next to the couch blinded you momentarily.
"I don't know...I woke up here...in pain...Tsumu my knee..." You whimpered and he sat down next to you again, gently pulling your hands away from your knee so he could look at it. You winced at the pain that you felt at even the slightest touch.
"It's really swollen...I think ya fell...did ya have a nightmare?" He asked, pulling his hands away.
"Yeah...It was...pretty bad...wait, do you think I sleepwalk?"
"Have you done that before?"
"No..."
"But if ya say that you woke up here, I think thats what happened...fuck...ok, ya probably couldn't handle walking that much and tripped." Atsumu muttered. On the outside he was calm, but on the inside his mind was racing. The setter tried to think of what to do now to help you, but his thoughts were interrupted by your soft whimpers as tears flowed down your cheeks.
"Hey, it's ok" A pair of strong arms wrapped around you, pulling you into a tight embrace. He felt how much your body shivered and hoped the warmth of his body could warm you up a bit.
"I was so scared..." you muttered while leaning your head against his shoulder.
"I know....it's over now, it's ok. I'm here." Atsumu whispered, running his fingers through your (h/c) hair. "Can I somehow get ya to the bedroom? It hurts to move right?"
