Atsumu was the sweetest throughout the whole pregnancy, and he was especially caring once you hit the last trimester of your pregnancy. You couldn't believe how big your belly had gotten, and soon it was hard to find fitting clothes.
Atsumu helped you everywhere he could, wether it was putting on your shoes and picking things up for you once you couldn't bend down anymore, cooking and cleaning so you could rest or even offering to shave your legs.
One of the sweetest things was probably when Atsumu wanted to prepare the nursery and was determined to do it all by himself. He painted the walls and built the furniture, although the latter wasn't really easy for him. Atsumu may be good with his hands when it came to volleyball and well...other things, but he was a terrible builder.
In the end you had to help him with putting up the furniture.Since your pregnancy was a high risk one due to having twins you decided to spend the last trimester working at home. Going to work everyday was just too much of a hassle. The added weight made it harder for you to walk, but thanks to Atsumus help and the occasional use of your wheelchair you got around pretty well and were still very mobile.
And then the day of all days had to come...
The match had went well so far and Atsumu felt the usual tingling in his fingertips as he spun the ball around in his hands a few times, getting ready to do his serve.
Everything was areas planned out in his head, how he would jump up high, hitting the ball at the perfect angle and smashing it into the other side of the court. He took a deep breath, eyes fixating on the enemy. Atsumu exhaled, everything was like in slow motion as always as he was about to throw the ball up into the air.
A sharp whistle cut through the dead silence and Atsumu stopped in his tracks, looking over at the referee and then his coach.
What was going on.
His trainer was signaling him to go to him, did he do something wrong? But it couldn't be so horribly wrong that his twin would have to stop him from doing his serve.Hesitantly he walked over to the bench his coach and some of his teammates that weren't playing today were sitting on.
"Thomas go warm up."
Atsumu heard his coach say and couldn't believe it. Was he being replaced. With the ball still in hand he stood in front of his coach.
His eyes were open wide as he was still trying to understand what was going on."Coach I-"
Atsumu started, already wanting to apologize for whatever he might have done, but the man interrupted him by putting a hand on his shoulder."Miya, you need to leave now, quickly. If you don't go you'll miss the birth of your daughter's. Believe me this is more important than the match! Go!"
Atsumu was to stunned to speak as the words rang through his ears."What?"
He muttered, letting the information sink in."We have a car waiting for you at the back entrance, it'lltake you to the hospital, there's no time to change either."
"Has it...already started?"
Atsumu asked."Yes! She's already gone into labor and if you don't get your damn ass out of this stadium now you'll regret it!!"
Without a word Atsumu went out the doors and followed one of the security guards to the car his coach had spoken off.
Maeve that was there as the manager quickly handed him his bag with his belongings in it and his jacket before the car quickly sped off.Everything else happened in a complete blur, Atsumu couldn't remember anything of it, not the way to the hospital, not the woman at the front desk that he asked about your rooms number and not the way to the room that you were in.
He only came to his senses when he saw you, sitting in the bed, clinging onto the hand of one nurse as another stood between your legs that were spread wide apart.
Oh how you were screaming and cursing while you tried to push the first baby out.
