With Atsumu time always flew by so quickly, and sooner than you had thought the delicate leaves of the tree outside the bedroom window turned a beautiful shade of red and it didn't take long for them to fall onto the ground one by one, until the tree was comletely naked.
The air turned chilly and cold and it quickly was that time of year again where Atsumu took extra care of his hands because they started getting dry.

The two of you had lived together for half a year, but it didn't feel like that long, or maybe it felt like it was already longer.
One part of you couldn't believe how quickly time had passed and how it was already time again to dig up your thick wool coat out of your closet to not freeze to death outside.
And the other part felt like Atsumu and you had lived together for years, like it was never different. You had completely forgotten what it's like to live alone, or maybe you now refused to remember what it feels like.
There were just so many things that you loved about living with Atsumu.

You loved when you woke up before him and could admire his beautiful face illuminated by the morning sun shining through the window.
You loved how the two of you would sometimes stay in bed until noon, cuddling and watching TV.
You loved waking up to the smell of Atsumu making breakfast in the kitchen, and walking into the living room, taking in the comforting view of Atsumus back facing you while he was making food in the open kitchen.
You loved when the two of you stayed up all night watching movies, how the two of you would sometimes shower or bathe together and how Atsumu always took care of you.

You didn't want to imagine what it would be like living alone. You had gotten to used to having someone that slept next to you every night and wrapped their arms around you after another of those terrible nightmares.

Living with Atsumu was like heaven on earth to you, a paradise that you refused to ever leave, and you never had to, since Atsumu felt exactly the same.

It was a mystery how the two of you had kept your relationship a secret for this long, but somehow, no one had found out so far, and the two of you had gotten used to it.
There was something exciting about keeping it a secret.
It excited to both of you to just act like Manager and client, and then fuck in your office without anyone knowing.

Something about going to work this particular morning felt weird. Maybe it was the cold win that made you shiver or the fact that you finally could drive by yourself again. Or maybe, just maybe, you knew for some reason what would await you in your office.

You just ignored that eery feeling and went on with your day as usual. Parking the car in the garage and using the elevator to go up to the floor that your office was located at.
And there it was, the person that you were dreading to see.

"Mother...what a pleasant surprise! May I ask what you are doing in my office...and how you got in?"
You said with a fake smile after taking a moment to process what was going on.
Your mother was sitting in your desk chair, that grin on her face that you knew all too well and looked kind of mean to you.

"I'm here to talk to you about the Christmas party!"
She replied and you mentally slapped her.
"And this was once my office so of course I had no problem getting in, I still have a keycard."

"Uhm wow, ok....Christmas party...?" You asked, trying to process all of this.
You set your bag down on the glass table and took off your coat, hanging it on the coatrack next to the door.

"Don't tell me you forgot about our christmas party!" She replied.

"Mom...It's the end of October and we just got done with our preparations for our Halloween campaigns."
You answered and she frowned.
"When was I supposed to thing about Christmas....In October...when it hasn't even been Halloween yet?!"
