Christmas, a time that most would spend with their family and loved ones, settibg up a tree in their homes and decorating everything. As a child you never were the biggest fan of Christmas, after all, there weren't many people you could spend it with. Sometimes Isaac had came to visit from Okinawa to celebrate with you and other times you would just spend the day with your friends.
Only when you were an adult you were reminded of what it truly feels to celebrate the holiday of love. In Japan Christmas isnt celebrated for religious reasons, its mostly for just spending time with your family and giving gifts to your loved ones. You were more than surprised when you woke up one Christmas and saw a gift under the tree of the appartement you used to share with Mae.
"Here its for you!" She said, handing it to you with a giant smile. You hesitantly opened the box, finding a beanie and two tickets inside.
"Its for the black jackals game!" She said while you were on the verge of tears. That moment had meant a lot of you, you hadn't expected to get any gifts, so it was a huge surprise to you.
"Do you not like it I thought they are-"
"No, no! I love it...I'm just so happy Maeve!" You said, hugging her tightly. "I love you so much and I'm so happy you're in my life Mae."
"I love you too (Y/N)!" She replied, hugging back tightly.
"You're in luck that I got you something too!"
"Aw you shouldn't have (Y/N)!"
That was now about four years ago, and you were never more excited to celebrate Christmas, because this time it would be with the people you loved most.
Atsumu had already surprised you a lot by just coming home with a Christmas tree.
"You know we could have picked one together..."
"We can decorate it together tho..." Atsumu replied, setting the tree up in the living room . "Besides, there's still a next year and a year after that." He turned to look at you with a bright smile that made you want to melt.
"You're right."
"By the way, I hope you have a sweater for the party!" You said with a smirk.
"I do...but seriously, why are ya making such a secret out of yours?" The setter asked. The team was about to have a ugly Christmas sweater party this evening and Atsumu still hadn't seen what you were planning on wearing.
"It's a surprise!" You replied and he playfully rolled his eyes.
"As long as I can take it off of ya afterwards." He replied.
