When my father told me that he wanted to personally meet up with me, I didn't know how to feel. Since him at that bar was a surprise in itself and I was not expecting him to reach out to me so soon.
My dad is the type of guy that you see a couple of times a year and it is not on birthdays or holidays.
"Nathaniel Scott." I place my hands on the table. "How do you do?"
"Don't call me that." My father gives me a look as he takes a seat opposite of me. "I see you've finally moved into the house that I bought for you."
I look around the formal dining room.
"Thanks again." I fake a smile and he shrugs his shoulders.
"I bought this place for you, there's no need to continuously thank me for it." I inwardly roll my eyes at him. "I heard that you've joined that show that Alexis is on."
I cringe, "Yeah."
"Bad decision." He looks into my eyes. "That's the type of shit that leaves you on the shaderoom, nothing good comes from it."
"I know." I rub my lips together.
"If you want, I can get you out of the contract." My eyes light at the thought. "What do you want to do with your life?"
"Why do I feel as if the devil is asking me a question?" I raise a brow at him.
He chuckles at my words, "Maybe you are but I'm also a concerned father. I want to see all of my children do well in their lives."
"How many children do you have?" I ask out of curiosity.
"I've got enough." He smiles sadly. "I know that I haven't been the most present father but I do want you all to succeed."
"How did you get all the money to buy the houses and the cars?"
"I've been working every single day of my life." He taps the table. "Got into investing at a young age, I own a couple of bars and a chain of restaurants all over America."
