Travis proposing me was something that I did not expect anytime soon even though we have spoken about it. I was so used to being treated badly by men that it's so crazy to think that I finally found a good one and he wants to spend the rest of his life with me.
A part of me wanted to run away once he popped the question but I quickly realised that I would be self sabotaging so I dropped down to my knees and said yes. It was the most beautiful moment of my life and I will never forget it because it will always hold a place in my heart.
Nobody ever talks abut the aftermath of a proposal whenever they share it on YouTube and I will admit it was awkward once the ring was on my finger. We shared a series of kisses while tearing up then there was a peaceful silence and we didn't speak for some time. Our love was consummated on that beach yet again before we made love in the car as we attempted to make it back to my home.
"Wow." I breathe a sigh while looking down at the ring on my finger. "You really proposed to me."
Travis glances over at me, "I did good."
"You did really good." I hold up my finger as a smile spreads across my lips. "You did amazing, it's so beautiful."
Tears begin to fall from my eyes before I can even stop them and Travis places his hand on my thigh in a comforting manner.
"How are you feeling?" He softly asks as he rubs draws circles on my thigh and I smile lovingly at him.
"I feel like I just won a billion dollars and I don't really know how to process it because I never saw it happening." I sniffle while placing my hand over his. "I have never felt this loved."
"Are you happy?"
My bottom lip trembles as I nod my head, "I'm happier than I've ever been so thank you for being my source of happiness."
"You're my everything." Travis lifts my hand up to his lips before kissing it. "I knew that I wanted from the moment that I first saw but I didn't realise how much I would fall for you. Being in a long distance is tough as shit but I feel as if it works in our favor because we don't take any moment for granted. Every moment we spend together means something to the both of us and I couldn't imagine a life without you."
"Are you happy?" I ask him and he winks at me.
"How could I not be?" He kisses the back of my hand. "I just got engaged to my dream girl, had sex like four times today and I think I've got room for another round of love making once we get back home."
Home is where the heart is.

The plan when arriving home was to make sweet love to eachother then head out for a special dinner. You can only imagine my surprise when we entered the main house to see all my closest friends there to celebrate my engagement.
Turns out Travis had informed Amiyah of his plans to propose to me and she went all out to decorate the place in time for our arrival. I wasn't expecting a big turn out but it meant so much to see my people there for me and Travis was pretty starstruck to be in the presence of Dwayne Johnson.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I ask Karin who has been living in New York. "Girl, you just left."
"And I'm back to celebrate my good friend becoming a soon to be wife." Her eyes twinkle and I smile softly at her words. "Congratulations sweets."
"Thank you."
"I want to make a special toast to my sister before we kick off her official celebration." Amerie captures everyone's attention and I smile as my man wraps his arm around my waist. "Most of you have not known Jordana for longer than five years or for some, a couple of years but I have known her since we were teens. I noted how similar we were despite our different lives and one thing that I knew to be true about Jordana is that all she ever wanted was to be loved."
