Today is my last day here before I catch the flight back to Los Angeles with the girls. This was a surprise trip for Travis so he unfortunately was not able to take time off work today so I have spent most of the day with the girls. We got a tour guide to show us around the different landmarks, took a bunch of photos, had lunch and then went down to the stadium to watch the guys train.
This trip has been pretty chill compared to what we are used to but it has also been really nice for us to spend time together outside of the usual bar/club setting.
It's nearing 6 pm so Travis and I have planned a little date night before I head to the airport in a couple of hours. Since Travis announced my presence, we have been getting quite a bit of paparazzi so I have made sure to dress the part.
"I can't believe you're leaving today." Travis says while kissing my neck and I smile while wrapping my arm around his waist. "I really appreciate you coming down to see me."
"I definitely have to do it again." I tell him as he kisses my jaw. "Your little town is cute or whatever."
Travis chuckles, "I'll be sure to let everyone know."
We walk past the paparazzi as we make our way into this cute Tavern that Travis booked for us to have an early dinner at. It doesn't take us long to get settled into the place as it's very cozy and once we have ordered our food, Travis moves to be at my side.
A lot of touching takes place as we just talk about the most random things. I have my left leg hanging over his, our hands are touching above on the table and our lips meet every so often in a loving embrace.
"When I first started pursuing you, I didn't even know that this would happen between us." Travis gestures to us and I nod my head in understanding. "A big part of me felt bad about stealing you from Colson seeing as he had a thing for you."
"He never really wanted me, nobody did." I shrug my shoulders. "I have dated a lot of guys who have just wanted to keep me quiet. The last 'official' guy before you would never allow us to be seen together yet he had another girlfriend who he would parade around."
"I think that's stupid." Travis tucks a piece of hair behind my ears. "You are a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart and I will gladly parade you around for the world to see."
His words make me smile, "Why did it take me so long to meet you?"
"We met when we needed to." Travis pecks my lips. "Our time is now and I'm excited to see what happens next for us."
I would consider this to be my first relationship and as much as I want to be around Travis 24/7, I think it would be best not to rush things. Being with Travis has made me happier than I could have ever imagined and I don't want to lose him or this feeling.
"Here we go." The waiter approaches our table with two plates. "Rack of ribs?"
"That's me." I practically drool at the sight of Travis' plates as it gets set infront of him.
I ordered a lamb shank which looks just as good and Travis nods his head while smiling. We both thank the waiter who then comes back with a beer for Travis and water for me.
"This is good shit right here." Travis points to his meal and I giggle as he does a little dance. "Trist me, you're going to be begging for more."
"I'm sure I will." I wink at him and he leans down to peck my lips before turning to his food. "I didn't know that Taverns served this type of foods."
"Baby, you're missing out." Travis responds as he picks up a chip with his hand and pops it into his mouth. "The chips are lightly seasoned but just enough to pair perfectly with the ribs."
"You haven't even tried it yet." I say as I start picking at the salad underneath my lamb shank.
"I've been here before." He chuckles. "I get the same shit all the time and it always tastes bomb."
"I'll take your word for it."

Once we get ourselves settled on the plane, I start yawning as I take in the time. The flight back is only three hours long so we could have flown back in the morning but we all had to go back to work.
"I've been working on a new song." Amiyah tells us and my eyes widen in surprise because it's been a long while since she last dropped a song. I would be lying if I told you that I know what my sister does in her day to day life.
"I'm so happy to hear that." I smile at her. "It's been so long that I forgot you were even a singer."
"Girl, I forgot myself." Amiyah responds and we both giggle. "I've just been so uninspired with my life but seeing you come out of your shell has made me want to do more with myself."
We hit a slight turbulence and Ana starts grabbing both of our arms.
"I can't." Ana throws her head back as we laugh. "All these planes be falling out of the sky within minutes and I'm not trying to join that party."
"You're all good." I pat her arm. "If worst comes to worst, we're in the good part of the plane."
"They do say that the middle is the best place to be." Amiyah adds while looking around.
"Girl you owe me." Ana looks over at me and I smile at her. "See how can I get mad when you're all smiley."
"Thank you girls for flying out to Kansas City with me." My smile softens. "I really appreciate it."
"You've did the wildest shit with me and my exes." Amiyah's eyes twinkle. "I'm down to come here every weekend if we need to."
"I'll think about it." Ana gives me a slight nudge before turning to Amiyah. "What was it that you were saying about music?"
"I'm working on a new song." Amiyah lifts her phone up to our ears and plays the recording. The minute long recording is some of the best piece of work that I have personally heard in a long time.
"That's fire." I hold my hand up and we high five. "You better get in the studio and record that shit."
Amiyah smiles as she puts her phone away.
"That's really good." Ana nods her head. "If you really put yourself out there, you're going to blow up."
"And you'll have everyone here to support you." I click my fingers at her.
"Thanks guys."
