Working alongside Colson on our acting project has allowed us to develop a pretty sweet friendship. Knowing that we are both in loving relationship makes it seem even better because I don't have to worry about him trying to make a move on me as he seems really in love with Megan.
I am slowly becoming an IT girl after appearing in Colson's music videos and seeing the amount of opportunities coming my way via email is insane. My social media engagement has increased a lot especially after Travis and I announced our engagement but it has strangely been overwhelming.
I had become so used to being unliked by the general public that it's surreal to see positive comments on my page. I still have a whole bunch of haters who are preying on my downfall but I am also seeing a change that has allowed me to feel more confident in myself.
Colson bursts through my trailer door, "They rewrote the script."
"What?"
"Here." He tosses a script in my direction and I groan while reaching for it. "The main storyline is still there but the plot has completely changed so you have about an hour and a half to memorise your lines."
"I hope you're planning to help me because I'm still a beginner here." I grimace as I start flicking through the pages that I need to memorise for today. "Why would they change the script when I barely memorised the last one?"
Colson shrugs his shoulders as he sits down on the chair besides my vanity, "Because the last script was shit and it probably would have went straight to DVD."
"Is that a bad thing?" I ask as the hairstylist works on perfecting my hairstyle.
"Straight to DVD is when they probably don't have a distributor and know that they won't sell at the movie theatres." Colson takes a sip of his drink. "Our movie is now giving Blade except he's white and has a bitch."
"You asshole." I let out a loud laugh before taking a second to take in his appearance. "This is an interesting look on you, the good kind."
"Appreciate it." He clicks his tongue at me. "From what I've seen out there, the first scene is going to be a cross between a rave and a dominatrix club. The script doesn't show much dialogue but there is an action scene which I'm intrigued to see how it goes considering that we have not rehearsed any fights."
"Good luck to us."
We spend the next hour going over the script for the scene and Colson is kind enough to give me some pointers on how I should act. This is a new experience for me so I am pretty nervous to be infront of the cameras especially now that they have completely changed the script but I am intrigued to see how I will do.
Modelling on camera is something that I can do with ease because it's all about capturing your best angle and getting the shot. I have been modelling for almost a decade so it comes naturally to me whereas acting on camera is about conveying the emotions and embodying the character.
"Woah." Colson looks at me in surprise as I walk onto the set with my makeup artist and I watch as everybody's eyes fall on me. I am used to everyone staring so I don't feel uncomfortable but it is weird for everyone to just fall silent in this moment.
"Let's do this."
