Last night I revealed our relationship to the world and our phones have been blowing up ever since I shared the news. Travis is leaving tomorrow and I wanted to know where we stood before he left because I'm not in the mood to play games. I have been played too many times by every man who has entered my life but Travis is different.
Long distance relationship is something that I have never experienced but I am willing to make things work.
These last few weeks together have been some of the best weeks of my life and I finally met a man who treats me like a queen. I am usually the side piece or the rebound girl that nobody ever wanted to claim but now that someone is treating me like a human, all my old flames are now up in my DMS.
People know want to befriend me or get to know because of one man.
That's quite sad.
"Amerie and Joe are completely different from Sofia and Jon." I tell Travis as I start the setting the table. "They're cool but they're not as loud or as crazy as the other pair. Amerie used to be so loud and outgoing but she changed once she met Joe, sometimes it's like being with a new woman."

"Is Amerie the one that you almost ruined your friendship with?" Travis asks and I pause as I look down at the table.
"Yes." I clear my throat as I resume what I was doing. "Joe is actually the guy that I was jealous of so there's always going to be a little bit of that tension but we are in a better place now."
"I'm glad to hear that." Travis rests his hands on my waist. "You can breathe now."
"What are you talking about?"
"Ever since you invited the couple over for dinner, you've been so tense." He draws circles on my waist. "Stop stressing out, Amerie is like a sister to you and sisters fight. Why are you still stressing? The fight was like three years."
