April's P.O.V

I don't even know how to show my gratitude to God.

We did it. We actually did it.
Lo hicimos!

Noah had taken me back to Chicago on the 8th Day of July, and I had returned on the 10th.
We didn't really do anything at that time.

I had to go back to Chicago again on the 15th. I went back and forth every two days till the 18th July.
It was exhausting having to depend on coffee to take me through the day, but I guess that's all over now.

Today, the 2nd Day of August, we're having some kind of Celebration Ball/Party.
It's super exciting, beautiful and all
But I'm still very tired.

My make up was cleverly done, and there are no signs of the bags under my eyes; they've been cleverly hidden.

I mean, most of my fatigue had been drowned out by all of the excitement but when I'm left alone, exhaustion washes over me
Exhaustion that I quickly have to brush aside as more and more people come over to congratulate me, and take pictures.

"Oh you look so pretty, Dear"

"You did very well. My Children won't stop talking about you"

"I await your next big work"

"My Daughter would kill me if I didn't get an Autograph"

"You are truly amazing, Miss Hawkins"

To all of these; I replied positively, and with wide smiles

"I have never wanted to be as invisible as much as I do now" Andrea groans, before offering a tight-lipped smile to a lady who's waving at her.

"I have" Mars sighs, and we chuckle as we locate seats at a table.

"Who knew the Superstar life was so exhausting?" I groan

"I did" Mars admits, and I let out a short laughter. It's true

"We should be treated to some Ice Cream" Patricia Anthony takes a seat at our table, along with Taylor, Ivy, and Avalon.

"Let's treat ourselves to Ice Cream" Taylor suggests, and we all agree
We wait for the occasion to be over, and when everything's over; we make our move.

"Hey, April" I hear
Mars, Patricia, Avalon, Andrea, Ivy, Taylor, and I turn around to see Noah

We all stare at him silently and unmoving
He doesn't even seem nervous from being watched by Seven pairs of eyes,- not that I expect him to- he just keeps his eyes on me.

"What do you want?" Mars sighs , and without missing a beat, Noah replies

"I need to talk to April" He says, and Mars lets out a harsh laughter

"Talk?" Mars steps forward "I'd rather you didn't. I know you can do that" He pauses
"Stick to what you do best"

"Mars" Noah sighs, a helpless look on his face "Let me just talk to April"
He says and sides a glance at either Taylor or Ivy. I don't know

I heave out a long sigh

"Mars, it's okay" I force a smile on my face

"Yeah. Let her just... hear him out" Taylor suggests, unsure
Mars locks eyes with me then, and I offer him a nod and a small smile.

He nods and steps back in line with us.
I take a step forward and they turn around and leave me with Noah.
I follow him with my heart on the sleeves of my short red dress, ready to be ripped apart and torn into pieces.
