April's P.O.V
"What the hell?!" I hold my hand to my chest. "Do you want to kill me?"
That question asks more than one thing doesn't it?
"I am really sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I promise" He pleads looking me straight in the eye.
Then his eyes leave mine and roam my body shamelessly.
I feel goosebumps on my skin when it looks like his eyes turn just a little bit darker.
"N-Noah?" I stutter and he nods before his eyes locate my hand.
"April, why are you holding a lamp?" He asks amused.
"Well... I thought you were either a pizza guy/ robber/ Santa Claus" I shrug.
"Okay.. Robber, I get... But pizza guy? Santa Claus? What? It's May" He chuckles
"Well..." I shrug sheepishly.
He crouches, laughing harder. I can even see the tears forming in his eyes.
The way he laughs... it's... it's just...
I find myself laughing too, really loudly. I lift my head up and down and wipe my tears.
But when see Noah just looking at me, an amused smile on his face, I clear my throat.
Is it hot out here? Actually it's windy.
Why is he looking?
"Uhh.. I- Is it h- I mean.. Isn't it cold? Out here? Let's go in" Darn! I'm so good at being stupid sometimes.
He follows me in, and after I close the door, I return the lamp to its position in the living room.
Why is Noah here? This isn't normal
"Cool" Noah says the same time that I ask "What do you want?"
"Right" He starts "I hope you're not mad about the whole me.. coming here by this time" Honestly, I'm a bit glad he's here but then. I just stare at him blankly. "Are you?"
"Noah.. Why are you here?" Yes. I am still tired
"I'm sorry for disturbing you.. it's just.. Charlie" At the mention of the prettly little girl's name, my eyes widen
"What happened to Charlie? Is she alright? Is she sick?" I'm at the verge of panic
"No no.. She's okay.. She just- Well, she wanted to see you" He breathes out and takes a step forward, as if telling me to calm down
"What?!" I almost scream
Having him this close really does disturb my peace of mind.
But wait a minute.
He came here!
In the middle of the night!
Disturbed my dancing!
Had me terrified!
Disturbed my peace of mind!!
Mocked me!
Disturbed my peace of mind!!
Had me worried!
Disturbed my peace of mind!!
Why?!
Because his little sister wanted to see me?!
"Cute" I hiss "So what if she wanted to see me? Is she in the car right now? Or are you going to take me to her?"
Don't get me wrong, I adore the little pretty girl but this.. this is outrageous
I'm minutes away from pulling my hair.
"Actually yeah. You're to come with me" He gives me a small smile
"No way" I say immediately "No way in hell!! That's insane"
Geez. I should have slept first. Ugh!
"Look.. I'm very sorry but please you have to-"
"Can't it wait till tomorrow?"
"I tried that too. Heck, we all tried. She wouldn't listen. Really" He drags his hand through his hair.
He looks tired.
