Beach Party Part 1

We get to the beach.

Caleb - Wow Jamie.

Ivy - Hey, I'm right here.

Kayla - Are you going to talk to Caleb?

Jamie - Please. I'm not going to give him the satisfaction. In fact, I think I see Kyle over there... That's my cue.

Conan walks over and looks at me up and down.

Conan - You look good

He's making me blush.

Kayla - What were you doing talking to Sarah?

Conan - We were just talking. She's kinda been all over me though.

I roll my eyes. I walk over to Jamie and Kyle who are already on the drinks.

Jamie - There you are Kaylaaaa

Kayla - Hello to you too

Jamie - I missed you

Kayla - I was with you 5 minutes ago

We all laughed.

Kayla - Are you having fun?

Kyle - Definitely

Jamie - DUHHHH!!

Conan - Hey

Conan walks over with Sarah.

Kayla - What are you doing here?

Conan - Who? Me?

Kayla - No I'm talking about the 'try too hard to stand beside you' person

Sarah - See? I told you she doesn't like me. I just don't get why.

Sarah starts fake crying.

Kayla - Why are you even talking to us? You're friends with the 'popular' people

Sarah - I can talk to Conan, Can't I? I mean, I'd hope so, because we're about to be dating each other.

DID HE JUST FORGET WHAT SHE HAS DONE TO ME MY WHOLE SCHOOL LIFE.

Kayla - Conan, are you serious?!

Conan - Come on Sarah. I didn't say we were dating

Kayla - I think I must have heard that wrong.

Jamie - Conan, are you considering being with a girl who's bullied Kayla since prep? Who always made her feel shit about herself?

Sarah - Why would it matter to you anyway, Kayla?

She tucks some hair behind her ear.

Sarah - I mean, you and Conan are just friends right? You wouldn't even want to date him.

Kayla - Oh it's on you psycho bitch

Sarah - Let's move along Conan. Lets get another drink.

She walks off with him.

Jamie - What the hell was that?! He'll regret ever talking to her.

Jamie is getting mad, more than me.

Kyle - Look, Sarah is a two-faced bitch and Conan will see it. He'll be back

Kayla - Good, I'll be waiting to have my friend back. I don't even recognize him right now.

Kyle - I wouldn't make harsh decisions. Sarah is playing games with Conan and he isn't thinking clearly. He's confused. Give him time.

Kayla - Your right. I'll be patient.

Kyle - I have to go. I'll talk to you tomorrow

Kayla - I think my mum is going away tomorrow night. If she is. I'm throwing a party at my house. Do you want to come?

Kyle - I would love to. Just text me the details.

He walks home.

Kayla - I think Jamie is in love

Jamie - WhAt nO?!. I think it's an infatuation

We laugh.

Jamie - And I think it's time you got a drink with me

We walk to the drinks. Conan and Sarah are talking not far. I tell Jamie to shhh so we can hear what they are saying.

Conan - I didn't like what you did back there. It seemed like you were trying to rub us dating in Kayla's face. We only hooked up that one time in summer camp.

Sarah - Well, maybe I don't like your friendship with Kayla.

She gets mad, like it's my fault.

Conan - We've been friends since birth. That's not gonna change. And did you ever say sorry for bullying Kayla?

Sarah - It wasn't bullying

Conan - Did you say sorry, yes or no?

Sarah - No...

Conan - Then maybe that's why she's rude to you. Look, the party's almost over. Maybe we should just take the night to ourselves and talk later

Conan walks off and Sarah screams. Jamie and I scrabble and talk about something random.

Later into the night.

Kayla - Caleb can't keep his eyes off you.

Jamie - What?!"

Kayla - I swear. Look behind you.

She looks behind and sees Ivy exhausted from trying with Caleb.

Kayla - He totally loved you in that white swimsuit. You should flirt with him somehow

Jamie - Bring it on

She starts dancing weirdly.

Kayla - You call that flirting... Amazing

We laugh. We see Ivy walk away from Caleb. Jamie and I dance for a bit then she coughs weirdly.

Kayla - What?

Jamie - Behind you...
