Page Nine: into you

The next morning,

"Noona? Noona... wake up. It's eight in the morning." a familiar sweet-like-honey voice woke you up from your slumber. Squinting your eyes a little, you notice his bunny smile grew wider as you flashed him a smile with the same energy.

"Good morning, Kook. How was your sleep? Does your neck hurt from sleeping on the couch?"

"I slept well since everything that weight my chest has been lifted off last night." He said and it was enough to bring back the memories from last night. Him confessing his feelings to you. A blush crept onto your cheeks and Jungkook didn't fail to took the chance to admire them.

"S-Stop saying it like it's daily thing to do. You make me feel shy." you hide your reddened cheeks behind your palm but Jungkook just pull it away from your cheeks, enjoying your blushing state a little bit too much.

"Well, if you want, I can make it as a daily thing to do. I could even say I love you every single day."

"KOOK!" you whine louder causing the male in front of you laugh even more. He's clearly enjoys teasing you.

"Alright! Alright! Go wash your face, I've made breakfast for us. Come out when you're ready." He messes with your hair before stand up and leaving the bedroom, while you stare at his back until it completely gone from your sight.

"I can't believe he could say it like it's nothing." you muttered to yourself and fanning your face. "Ah, why does it feel so hot?"

After finishing your morning routines, you walk to the kitchen and saw him sitting there waiting for you. A smile rose upon his cheek once he notices your figure approaching him.

"Have I told you that you look so cute in my hoodie?" He grins and obviously trying to tease you again.

"Yes, you did last night, Mr. Jeon." you sat down beside him and take a sip of your coffee. He even knows what you usually have for your breakfast.

"Yeah, but the view in the morning is way cuter. You, with my hoodie, messy hair, bare face, and morning air. It's just best of the best." He added a bit more until you turn to him, glaring playfully.

"How could you know about my typical breakfast menu?" you purposely changed the topic while munching your toast, it's not too crunchy just like how you like it.

"You told us once, you forgot? When we went to a trip together with the boys." He smiles as he remembers those memories you both share together.

Nodding your head, the memories clicked in your head. Now come to think of it, you really spent a lot of time together with them, mostly Taehyung and Jungkook. Somehow the fact that Jungkook remember a little thing about you makes your heart flustered in a weird way.

"Hey, don't move." his sudden sentence caught your attention as you turn to him only to see his hand reaching out closer to your face. Before you can react, his thumb come in contact with the corner of your lips. Oh no. "There's strawberry jam there. Eat slowly, we're not in a rush." He chuckles while your cheeks heating up again.

"D-Don't you have any schedule today? You know I could just take a bus by myself-"

"Don't worry, I'll go straight to the company once I drop you off." He continues munching his own toast while smiling to himself. Your stutters didn't go unnoticed by him and somehow it makes him happy. He never knows that he would leave that kind of effect on you. Hell, he never even witnesses Taehyung makes you stutters like that but of course it's because Taehyung is not the type to show affection nor flirting in public.

The ride back to your home was unusually quiet. Usually both of you always has a silly topic to talk or to argue about but this time, it was dead silent. You weren't sure if it's just you but Jungkook seems to drown in his thoughts about something. While you, you were drowning in your own mind as well. Swimming back and forth in your non-existence pool inside your mind.

"Noona?" "Yes?" His voice startled you as you quickly turn to meet his gentle smile. It wasn't the playful one. It was that one smile that held thousands of meaning behind it. Yet, you can't even point out one of them.

"We are here." He answers and that's when you notice your familiar surroundings. Seems like you daydreaming too much.

"Ah, yeah thank you Kook for the ride. I-I'll get going now. Have a great day." You said in a rush and turning around, about to leave his car but a gentle hold on your arms prevent you from going further.

"But I didn't say you could leave just yet." His voice was low and deep. You keep silence as if you wait for him to continue. "Before you go, I just want to makes sure that you remember this. I meant every single thing I said to you last night and I'm willing to wait until you make up your mind. I'll try everything that I could to makes you love me. Just please give me a chance, okay?"

You couldn't bring yourself to say anything, so you just give a slight nod and a smile before get off his car. God knows how mess it was inside your heart and mind.

Little did you know, another surprise was waiting for you in front of your unit. Your eyes met a familiar back the moment you reached your unit. Hearing your footsteps, he turned around with his straight face.

"You spent a night with Jungkook?"

"What it has to do with you? I thought you don't know me."
