Ponyboy's POV

I felt like I was about to die, I was covered in horrible bruises, cuts, and blood. I was loosing tons and tons of blood by the second, they wouldn't stop beating me till' I was dead. Until I seen the gang burst in, I smiled a little bit but it hurt my cheek so I stopped smiling.

"Oh, look who's here.. the greasers, they're here to save you Pony.." The Soc said while hitting me in the back with a rope, it knocked the wind out of me and that's when I knew that I was almost dead. I couldn't breathe, at all. I was losing air and they all noticed. The Soc laughed while hitting me again. The gang went forward a little, they all had anger and hatred in their eyes.

I seen Dally throw a punch at one of them and they all started fighting. Johnny had enough time to untie me and my hands were finally free. My wrists were hurting like heck from them. They were purple. Johnny tried helping me help but my legs were so weak, I couldn't. Two-Bit noticed, he asked Dally to cover him. He did. Two-Bit grabbed me and ran out with me and Johnny behind. Him and Johnny didn't stop running until we were fully safe outside of the forest. After a little while the gang came out too. Two-Bit was still holding me. Soda and Darry came over and held me in their arms, they all started running home. I was dieing and they knew that, they were trying to hurry to the hospital before it's too late.

Before I knew it, I blacked out. I was still breathing but I just passed out. When I woke up, I was in the hospital. I looked around and noticed Soda and Darry on my right side, Johnny on my left, Dally, Two-Bit, and Steve at the end of the bed.

"J-Johnny..." I said but I was having trouble talking above a whisper. Johnny jolted his head up and smiled at me, I could tell he'd been crying.

"Pony!" He said while hugging me. Everyone awoke from their naps and looked at me. They all hugged me. I was happy to be alive and to be surrounded by my friends and boyfriend.
