Road Trip Hell (Marcoxreader)

"I say we just go now." Kid grumbled over a forkful of food.

After everyone who was going on the road trip arrived at the Newgate house, you and Thatch got to work on making everyone breakfast.

"I haven't packed yet shihihi~" Luffy chuckled as he stole food off of a sleeping Zoro's plate.

Kid just mumbled something under his breath and went back to eating his food. Kid was always but he was especially grumpy this morning after he got pulled into Ace's-not so funny- prank for you.

Of course wherever Kid went Killer went too. You were a bit suprised to see the shaggy blond standing at the door. The two of you used to date in high school.

The relationship wasn't terrible but it wasn't healthy. Killer had just come out of a nasty relationship and was looking for comfort while you were looking for a distraction from your crush on Marco. Since the Phoenix loving blond only saw you as a little sister at the time and still does, you thought it would be better if you dated someone else.

Your relationship with Killer went on for a year, neither one of you wanted to end it because you didn't want to be alone. The break up was mutual, the two of deciding it was better if you were friends instead of lovers.

"I'll go pack for you yoi. It's better if we leave before traffic starts to pick up." Marco placed his mug of coffee down on the island. He had been leaning against it chatting idly with Robin, the tall beauty sitting on a stool next to him. The two looked rather cozy chatting amongst themselves, it irritated you. Although it shouldn't, the two have been friends since high school and have never dated or fooled around with one another.

"The rest of us can put our stuff in the van." Ace shoveled the rest of his food into his mouth, of course he made a mess of himself so you grabbed a napkin and dabbed away at the crumbs on his face.

"When did you guys get a van?" You tossed the used napkin into the trash. You spent lots of your free time at the Newgate residence and you've never seen a van.

"Pops picked it up last night. We're renting it for the road trip." Ace explained he picked up his bag that was next to the front door, he grabbed yours that was thrown haphazardly beside his.

Luffy came bounding behind you two, he had a hand clamped around both Law and Kid's wrists, dragging the two scowling males behind him. Killer just walked calmly out behind the three. Robin managed to wake Zoro up, the two gathering up their stuff and joining the other four outside. You and Ace making your way right behind them.

"You've  got to be kidding me?" You scoffed when you saw the van you guys would be traveling in.

"What you don't like it yoi?"

You looked over your shoulder at Marco, a slight blush on your face at how close he was. You managed to avert your eyes back to the van.

"N-No I ah-"

"This is a piece of shit." Kid growled as he eyed the hot pink cargo van.

Their was a lot of rust around the doors and windows, the front bumper was held on by duck tape. But the thing that shocked you the most was the giant clown painted on the side.

The clown was painted rather nicely, but whoever had painted it had put giant black pools for eyes. It gave you the creeps.

"The paint job isn't good yoi. But it drives just fine." Marco placed his hand on the small of your back and guided you to the van's back doors. He had to wiggle the door handle a bit before it opened.

The inside of the van was covered in shag carpet, the floor, the walls, and the ceiling of the car. Every inch of the interior of the car was covered in it. You also noticed that there was only a bench seat at the front of the car.

Seems some of us will be sitting on the floor.

"I call shotgun!" Luffy yeld as he threw himself on the front seat. He ended sitting on the driver's side, not really sure on what spot was the passenger seat.

"Fine, but move over yoi. We're not having you drive." Marco shoved his little brother into the middle as he got behind the wheel. "One of the girls can sit up here yoi."

You looked over to Robin, you of course wanted to sit up next to Marco, but you didn't want to nominate yourself. Plus you figured Marco would rather talk to Robin then you the whole drive.

"I'm fine sitting in the back." You got in and sat down next to Ace on the shag carpet. Your bestie raising his eyebrow at you, he figured you'd want to sit next to your crush. You just shook your head telling your friend to keep quiet.

Robin gave you a 'thanks' and got intothe front seat, sitting between Marco and Luffy. Now you were wishing you had sat in the front.

Law mumbled something along the lines that it wasn't safe to sit in car with no seats or seat belts. He shuffled in making sure to sit as far away as possible from Kid. The red head was sitting across from you, his resting vutch face burning a hole in your head.

"Stop that." Killer flicked his friend on the forehead as he got in the van. The blond sitting rather close to you, you didn't mind you just thought that he would have chosen to sit next to his friend.

Zoro was the last one to get in, the moss head sitting down next to Kid, he really didn't care who he sat next to as long as he could sleep.

"Are Thatch and Sabo not coming?" You asked, tou hadn't seen the blond that morning but you did see Thatch and thought he'd be coming along.

"Nah Thatch has work. And Sabo is in Dressrosa wit Koala for their two year anniversary, we'll see them when we get there." Ace yawned the ravenette not being used to being up so early.

"Let's get this road trip started yoi."
