Skyler dumped the bucket of water on the deck when he had finished mopping. He looked up and he saw Peter with Sappy. He didn't know if he felt jealous or if he was angry. Skyler made his way to the rigging and started climbing up to the main yard.
Peter flew around Sappy making her laugh. "Okay Sappy, you ready?" asked Peter. "Aye Peter I'm ready," called Sappy. Skyler had just made it to the main mast and called "Sappy wait!"
Sappy just about lost her balance and fell off backwards, Peter dived after her afraid that she would drown. When he saw that she was floating in the air, Tinkerbell had covered her in pixie dust. "You scared me right there," Peter said "thought you were a goner. Come on, I'll show you the way, Skyler can come too."
Sappy smiled at Peter "I know I thought I was going to hit the water then I started to float like you," she said brightly. "This is going to be so much fun."
"YEAH, HOW IS FLYING GOING TO HELP WHEN WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN," Skyler yelled. Sappy whipped around to see Skyler looking very upset. "The captain asked you to come with us, you can't leave the ship Sappy. You're with me."
"Why don't you come with us," called Sappy "do you remember that when I talked to the fairies in my garden? Besides Peter Pan told me he knows a short cut Skyler." As Sappy said this she glided down to Skyler and pulled him up with her, Peter laughed and joined them. But Skyler was much heavier than Sappy and nearly fell into the ocean. Tinkerbell did her thing with pixie dust and Skyler took to the air.
"Lighten up Skyler," said Peter "we're taking the shortcut through the night whether you like it or not." Skyler glared at Peter "I told you, you could meet her, not to fly away with her."
"She asked me to do it," Peter argued "flying is soo much easier than sailing. Follow my lead Skyler, I know where the mystical island is. We're still pals aren't we?"
Skyler looked back at the Tailgate Spinner and then he looked up at Sappy who was floating with Peter in the moonlight . Skyler's heart burst into a flutter when he saw her. "Come on Skyler, follow Peter," called Sappy "it's better than working on that ship."
"I can't just run away from the Tailgate Spinner," Skyler clenched his fist and flew after Sappy "I wanted you to travel with me Sappy, I should have told the truth."
Sappy opened her mouth as Skyler flew toward her. "Alright, I'll come and then maybe someone could explain to Captain Greyham what happened tonight."
"HURRY UP," called Peter "I'm gonna leave you two behind if you don't fly."
Sappy and Skyler glided toward Peter and caught up to him. The second star to the right lit up right in front of them and there was the mystical island right in front of them. "How many days does it take for a ship to find the island Peter," asked Skyler.
"About a week," said Peter " I'll take you guys back to the hide out with me and you can meet the lost boys. Don't stray from me and follow my lead. "
