Chapter 9 Sappy gets kidnapped!

Sappy watched as Peter approached Cubby "What are you worried about?" Peter cocked an eyebow " come on Cubby you're braver than that."

"Did Skyler say something rude to you? " asked Sappy "he has been irritated toward me since we arrived in Neverland."

"No I don't think he did," said Cubby "I told him I was turning around."

"Hang on I'll be right back," said Peter "Stay here with Sappy Cubby."

Sappy decided to join Peter "Wait, how long will you be?"

"Not very long maybe the three of us should go together," said Peter to Sappy and Cubby.

Sappy and Cubby nodded and then they flew up to the empty pirate ship with Peter and landed with him up on the main deck. The rest of the lost boys ran up to Peter and hugged him. Skyler glanced at Cubby and then up to Peter and Sappy "Well now this is quite the bunch, if only Sappy knew how magnificent our ship will be."

"Skyler, I've never lived a life at sea before," said Sappy "it is a wonderful ship we just have to do a touch it up."

The ship's main deck was covered in Spanish moss and algae. The floor was slippery and wet. There was a silent tension between Skyler and Peter. Sappy stood there with the lost boys watching them.

"So you decided to join the party 'pal'," Skyler asked "or should I say something else like..."

Sappy clutched her breast hoping he would accept it. "Please don't Skyler," she heard a tiny voice speak from her heart. "Don't be jealous Skyler."

Peter smiled cockily his eyes challenged Skyler "Alright Skyler, let's play!" he said mischievously "you and me one on one."

Skyler cracked his knuckles, Peter was hovering around him. "I remember the first time you challenged me Pan," he sneered  "Why did you have to bring Sappy along?"

"You told me I could meet her back on the Tailgate Spinner!" Peter swerved around Skyler.

" But I didn't give you permission to fly away with her," called Skyler glaring back up at Peter.

"It's part of the game Skyler," Peter explained.

Hook started to move toward the ghastly ship he used to command, he gave the order to his crew to climb up the side of the ship.

He watched as two young boys danced around in a frenzy and a evil grin crept over his face.

Peter flung himself up into the air as Skyler fell flat on his face while trying to tackle Peter.

Sappy and the lost boys watched Peter and Skyler with their mouths agape.

"Stop!"cried Sappy as Peter dove down and tackled Skyler. The two boys wrestled with each other. "Boys help Peter right now!"

The lost boys pulled Skyler off of Peter and separated them. "Let go of me," cried Skyler.

"Peter Pan is a friend," said Sappy "he's trying to help us through our voyage Skyler. Look I know you don't believe me and I'm sure we'll return to the Tailgate Spinner and head home one day but we'll have each other in the end."

Peter put his hand on Sappy's shoulder "Sappy's got a point you know," he said "now let's explore this pirate ship before...."

"Before I show up," growled a voice that Peter knew all too well "and get rid of you once and for all boy!"

Peter whipped around to see Captain Hook standing right before him. The lost boys let go of Skyler making Sappy gasp.

"What do you want, Hook?" Peter drew his dagger.

"I want to find the key to this mystical island," said Hook. "And I think..." his eyes fell on Sappy "I shall be taking the girl."

Two men grabbed Sappy by her as she tried to run to away. She struggled "Skyler help," she called.

"You shall make a fine cabin girl!" Hook sneered ravenously "and I shall hold you for ransom at £50."

"LET HER GO," called Peter " you miserable old codfish."

"Don't try to do anything Pan," said Hook "or her companion shall be joining her."

Skyler watched as the pirates dragged Sappy away. "Sapphira, fight them," he cried. "Pan do something!"

Peter flew off and landed on the beach when the pirates were  a good distance away. His eyes blazed with fury as his thoughts piled up in his mind. "Don't worry Sappy, Skyler and I will come rescue you tonight."

Skyler and the lost boys joined Peter as he flew toward the jungle. They followed the pirates where a bigger ship was anchored in a misty cove in the distance.
