Chapter 18 Sappy's Story

Sappy followed Peter and the boys away from the Neverspring, Captain Hook was hiding nearby with Mr Smee and his men hiding behind some ferns. They went through deadman's cave where the treasure was . Peter led the way through the jungle through the forest unaware of the pirates following them.

Sappy started feeling uneasy as she walked down the path. She did not know if it was time to fly back to Edinburgh, but she had a feeling Hook was going to come after her. "Sappy, you coming?" called Peter " what's taking you so long?"

"Yes I'm coming," Sappy called back. The lost boys went on ahead as Peter waited for Sappy. He smiled as Sappy caught up to him. "Let's catch up to the lost boys," said Peter. Sappy's uneasiness melted away as Peter walked beside her.

Peter and Sappy caught up to the lost boys. They were gathering firewood for the campfire "We just got started with the campfire Peter," said Slightly. "The boys and I have been gathering wood."

"Alright, I'll go ask Big Panther if Tigerlily can come join us," said Peter "Ask Sappy what kind of story she wants to tell and I'll be back shortly."

He flew off in the breeze, Cubby turned to Sappy "What kind of story do you want tell?"

"I'm not sure," said Sappy "depends on the story."

"Story what story?" asked Binky.

"How about the story of Alice in Wonderland," said Cubby.

"Or tell us a story about a pirate or two," said Nibs.

The lost boys gave out so many requests that Sappy started to feel flustered "Alice in wonderland is fine by me," she said. Peter's crow was heard in the distance and Tiger lily stepped out into the open. "Hello Sappy, my name is Tigerlily," said the Indian Princess. " Peter told me about you and my people shall help you under little flying eagle's request."

"Thank you, Tigerlily," said Sappy curtsying in her night dress "we were about to gather for a story a campfire."

"You're welcome Sappy," smiled Tigerlily "Little flying Eagle shall be here soon."

Peter swooped in and crowed. "And I'm here," he said cheerfully "so has the party started yet?"

"Party what party?" Asked Sappy.

"You know what I mean," said Peter "and it depends on the game too."

"Depends on the game?" Asked Sappy. "What do you mean?"

"Do you still have the glowing crystal?" Asked Peter.

"Yes why?" Asked Sappy putting her hand in her pocket.

Peter whispered something into Sappy's ear and she nodded her head. "Okay Peter Pan I can do that," she smiled softly.

"Really?" Peter smiled back in the fire light. "I'd like to see you try."

Sappy looked at Peter in that moment and something told her she would get away from the pirates.

Sappy retold the story of how she and Skyler went on the Tailgate Spinner and how he carried her in his pocket. The pirates watched from the bushes as Peter and the boys listened to Sappy's story.
