"Hyung, don't put it there. Here, here. I said here." Jimin's voice had a hint of impatience as he pointed at the left side of the room, clearly displeased with Jungkook’s earlier decision.
Jimin moved the vase from the right side to the left, scrutinizing it with intense focus. Jungkook stood by, his mouth half open in protest but closing it just as quickly. It was his idea to make Jimin his "special interior designer" for this upcoming exhibition, so he had no choice but to follow Jimin's ever-changing plans.
"Urm, not so good. Change it back to the right."
Jungkook frowned but before he could speak, Jimin shot him a stern glare. "What? Anything you want to say, Mr. Jeon?"
Jungkook sighed dramatically. "No, of course not. Your order is my command, my dear Kate Minslet."
Jimin burst into laughter, his expression softening immediately. "Good answer, Leonardo Jungcaprio," he quipped back, playfully wrapping his arms around Jungkook. His eyes crinkled into that signature smile as Jungkook affectionately ruffled his hair.
"Let's go see what my baby bear is up to," Jungkook suggested with a mischievous grin.
"Your baby bear? He’s my little Jae," Jimin corrected, his tone full of mock possessiveness.
"Our Jae," Jungkook said softly, his words always managing to touch Jimin's heart. Jungkook treated Jae like his own, with so much patience, gentleness, and love that it made Jimin fall even deeper for him.
"Kookie Appa, I want this spot," Jae suddenly called out, pointing to a space in the exhibition room. In just two days, Jungkook was set to have his second art exhibition, and Jae had a special place reserved for his artwork.
Jungkook smiled proudly. "Alright, baby bear. Anything for you."
Jimin, feeling a little left out, piped up, "What about me?"
The simple question caused both Jungkook and Jae to erupt into laughter, confusing Jimin. "What's funny?" he asked, his brow furrowing.
"Appa, you can’t draw!" Jae exclaimed between giggles.
"Jiminie, you don’t even know how to use a brush," Jungkook added, laughing as he nudged Jimin playfully.
Jimin knew he couldn’t win this argument. Art was not his forte, especially drawing and painting. His circles weren’t circles, his trees never looked like trees, and don’t even get him started on trying to draw flowers. He sucked at it, and he knew it.
As the laughter continued, Jungkook’s voice suddenly shot through the air with a loud scream. Jimin had pinched his nipple out of nowhere, his tiny hand delivering a sharp pain that made Jungkook yelp. "Stop, stop... ahhhh stop!" Jungkook cried out, squirming as Jimin’s playful punishment continued.
"Appa... Jae... Jae needs to go to the toilet," Jae mumbled, realizing the tension in the air. Being the smart kid he was, Jae knew when it was time to make his exit before the situation escalated. He dashed off, leaving his parents behind.
Jungkook tried to slap Jimin’s hand away, finally succeeding. But the cute pout that formed on Jimin’s lips stopped Jungkook in his tracks. Any thoughts of revenge vanished as he watched Jimin, his heart softening.
"Why are you pouting all of a sudden?" Jungkook asked, trailing behind Jimin as he walked away.
Jimin huffed, his mood clearly changing. "I want my spot too."
"Your spot?" Jungkook asked, puzzled.
"Jae gets one. What about me?"
Ah, so that’s what it was about. Jimin was sulking because he didn’t get a place for himself at the exhibition.
"Baby, you can’t—"
"Think before you speak," Jimin warned, his tone icy. Jungkook knew better than to provoke Jimin when he was moody. A glare, an eye-roll, and a pout were Jimin's favorite things to do when he was mad.
Jungkook sighed, reconsidering his response. He really didn’t want to deal with a sulky Jimin right now. "Okay, okay. You can have one spot... the corner."
"The corner?"
"Yup, for your rose garden."
Jimin’s eyes lit up with excitement. His earlier pout vanished as a wide smile spread across his face. He might not be good at drawing or painting, but he sure knew how to create a beautiful garden. It was still art, wasn’t it?
"I’ll make it beautiful. You’ll see. Everyone will love my garden, and they’ll hire me to remake or design their gardens. You’ll lose all your clients, but don’t worry, Kookie hyung. I’ll take care of you when you’re jobless," Jimin rambled on, already planning out his masterpiece.
Jungkook couldn’t help but laugh. What was Jimin even talking about? But watching Jimin’s excitement made his heart swell. When Jimin smiles, his whole world stop and stares for a while, coz he is amazing, just the way he is. 😆
"Whatever you want, baby," Jungkook said softly, unable to stop himself from smiling.
