Third Person's POV
Akaashi frowned by the words that came out from Bokuto. Sure, he was beyond happy that Bokuto decided to spend time with him and the baby for Aito's first Birthday but he wasn't expecting Bokuto's suggestion. "Shopping?" He asked once again, unsure if Bokuto did mean it. The older nervously chuckled, rubbing his nape sheepishly as he broke into cold sweat.
"Yeah. Do you not like the suggestion?" The older asked with a pout. Akaashi open and closed his mouth, not having any idea of what he should answer. Well, he indeed loves shopping, Bokuto knows that. That is why Bokuto was acting kind of a nervous wreck when he saw Akaashi's expression. He is confused on why Akaashi looked like he was opposing the idea of shopping, which Akaashi loves.
"What is there to shop anyway?" Akaashi solicited towards Bokuto who decided to finally sit. The bi-colored man blinked in surprise. Akaashi sure is dense or just thrifty... Bokuto thought, eyeing the younger up and down who was carrying a sleeping Aito in his arms. "Everything Aito needs!" Bokuto slightly exclaimed, flailing his arms. Akaashi tilted his head "What do you mean? Aito has enough necessities.." Akaashi replied confusingly, not knowing he looked too cute.
Bokuto clenched his fist on top of his lap, pursing his lip into a thin line as he gave Akaashi a look. He was furious why the younger was so clueless but can effortlessly pull off a look that can melt all his anger away. He is furious why Akaashi actually got him wrapped around his fingers, without the younger knowing he did. Crazy right?
Bokuto sighed "Do you even see that his room, the living room, the whole house lacks of baby things? What about a highchair? baby walker? stroller or a baby rocker? new clothes? Baby grooming supplies? Toys???" Bokuto listed, counting his fingers as he mumbled a few more things.
Akaashi's mouth parted in realization. He looked towards the baby in his arms, guilty on why he hasn't thought of that idea. Aito must've felt so bored and tired. Children or babies indeed need toys for their imagination to expand and widened, for happiness. Even Akaashi could not imagine growing up without them.
"Yeah, you're right" Akaashi said loud enough for Bokuto to stop talking "I did not..." Akaashi mumbled, staring into thin air. Bokuto felt worried "Okay, there is no need to stress over that." He assured the younger, holding his back. Akaashi nodded silently.
The younger faced him "Can you wait here with Aito-kun? I'm going to tell mom about this and change. Is that alright?" Akaashi requested. Bokuto blinked before he nodded like a madman, tensed as he sat back down on his chair. Akaashi chuckled at his actions, readying to give the infant to his upperclassman. Bokuto hesitantly took the baby, afraid that he might break his delicate baby bones.
But before Akaashi could leave, Bokuto held his hand, making Akaashi look at him "Bokuto-san?"
"Can you call here, like, right here with me?" Bokuto implored shyly. He was confused why Bokuto was acting like this but of course, there is no problem with that "Okay.." He fished his phone out of his pockets, silently dialing his mother's number. It took a few seconds and ringing before someone finally picked up.
"Keiji, Keiji? What's the matter? Is there something wrong?" His mom interrogated from the other line. Akaashi silently chuckled before he replied "Mom, no there is nothing wrong. Thanks for worrying" Akaashi assured, earning a sigh. "Mom?" Akaashi called out, receiving a yes.
"Aito's turning a month today.." Akaahi happily informed, Bokuto could see his eyes shimmering as he said those words, it made his heart flutter. It was silent on the other line before Akaashi's mom once again found her voice. "Goodness gracious.. time flies so fast.." His mom mumbled, covering her mouth. Akaashi smiled, closing his eyes "Exactly.."
"Well, what are your plans for today?"
Akaashi glanced at Bokuto "Well, Bokuto-san knew about Aito-kun" The moment Akaashi finished, his mom interjected "Bokuto-kun?! How?" Despite that exclamation, Akaashi could clearly see her smiling. "Long story" Akaashi deadpanned.
"Is this on loud speaker? Bokuto-kun is there with you?"
"Yes.."
"Bokuto-kun!" Bokuto flinched by the mention of his name. "Y-yes?!" He exclaimed, wincing when Aito stirred in his sleep probably from his loud voice, Akaashi sent him a glare.
"How are you?" Akaashi's mom asked. The raven head motioned Bokuto that he will take the baby so that he can talk properly with his mom. Bokuto obliged, carefully handing Akaashi the child before taking the phone.
"Oh, I'm good. Thanks for asking" Bokuto cheerily replied, earning a chuckle. "So, what's your plans today with Keiji-kun for Aito-kun's birthday?"
Bokuto scratched his head "Well, Akaashi-san-"
"Oh, it's Sakura for you sweetie. I already told you that" Bokuto chuckled at the correction. "Well, Sakura-san. Today, I plan to take Akaashi and the baby to shopping."
"Why?"
"Well, I've noticed that the house looks too plain..? And then I noticed that Aito-kun lacks of the things he needs like toys and baby furnitures. Hahaha, though, I'm not saying that I am asking for money, I'm willing to pay!" Bokuto ranted, nervously, rubbing his nape before flailing his arms.
Sakura laughed on the other line, thinking that Bokuto was too pure for this world. "How kind of you Bokuto-kun, but there is no need for you to pay. We got it" Sakura assured "Keiji will use the bank, it's fine" she added.
Bokuto blinked, switching the phone to his other ear, going somewhere far away, though there is no need because Akaashi went upstairs to change with Aito.
"If you say so, but I plan on using my money as well. After all, it is Aito-kun's birthday" Bokuto whispered.
"How sweet. Oh, I gotta go now, we are having a meeting today. Tell Akaashi that I love him and Aito-kun. Take care on your shopping today okay? Watch out for Keiji and Aito for me. Goodbye Koutarou-kun." Sakura spoke hurriedly, sounding as if she was running.
"Goodbye Sakura-san..." Bokuto replied before Akaashi's mom hung up.
Just in time, Akaashi came down the stairs "Bokuto-san?" He called out making Bokuto turn around. Bokuto slightly widened his eyes.
Akaashi and Aito wore matching clothes. Beige colored turtleneck sweater for the teenager and a beige colored jumper for the infant. Bokuto blinked before he set eyes on his clothes as well, parting his mouth when he noticed that he was wearing a cream colored shirt, covered by his beige colored jacket.
He beamed, rubbing towards the raven head "Agashi! Look, we are matching!" He happily exclaimed. Akaashi chuckled "yes we are. It must be coincidence" Akaashi replied. Bokuto puffed his chest, leaning closely to Akaashi "or it could be you planning to wear something similar to mine?" He teased, completely oblivious that he has set Akaashi on fire.
"Shut up. What did mom tell you?"
"Oh, she told me that we are gonna use the bank. Oh, and she is having a meeting today, and she wanted you to know that she loves you and the baby." Bokuto informed. Akaashi smiled softly.
"Anywho, let's go?"
