Third Person's POV

Calls and messages were a normal thing. They receive each other's information first thing in the morning until last thing at night. Facetime were also a normal routine every weekends. Until summer ended.

Schedules no longer match as Bokuto is available during late in the night and Akaashi during mid noon. Long and fun chats turned into short greetings. Calls no longer happened. As their private messages decreased, communication slowed down. Until it no longer happened.

You see, as you grow old, you prioritize important things. Fading but memorable events will be neglected. That is happening between these two individuals. Nevertheless, they think of each other every time they get the chance. They stare at their dead private messages, contemplating to send a simple "Hey, how are you?" But fear and doubt will always stop them.

Yet fate will never change these two of how they feel. Though distant and no longer communicating, they each hold each other a special place in their hearts. No one can break it. It's not heartfelt, but it's deeply connected within their mind, body, and soul.

4 years has passed. The apartment space is peaceful and clean. A simple wooden table by the side wherein a picture frame could be found. Two individuals were in the frame, smiling for the camera. One was taller and bigger, wearing a white toga as he carried the other small individual in his arms. By the center is a navy blue fluffy mat and a gray couch. The interiors were modern style with white accents, the walls were painted with a light gray color. The living room.

A black tuff of hair appeared behind the couch, royal blue eyes studying the place seriously and cautiously. A short stature dressed in white shirt with black suspenders. He crouched down, reaching for the familiar brown plushie by the side.

"Well Mr. Bo, it seems like the coast is clear..." The child whispered, pronunciation not the best. He jutted his lips, looking intently at the owl plushie in his hands. "What?! You can't it's dangerous!" The child quietly cried towards the toy, imagining the plushie was talking to him.

"A race?" He suddenly asked, voice echoing within the halls. The kid grinned, standing up. "Okay then. The first one next to the table wins!" He declared, staring at the plushie whose face will forever remain the same.

He held the toy, rasing his arm behind his head before throwing it away. The owl plushie flew through the air, the child's laugh resonating through the background. He ran barefoot creating soft taps across the marble floor.

The owl plushie fell from gravity, almost landing on the table but then the child leaped, fingertips barely touching the desk but he did. He fell on the ground, the plushie landing on the table with a plop.

The raven head laughed, clutching his stomach. His strands sticking to his forehead as he felt heat increasing. He sat up and immediately he coughed.

Itchy and scratchy was what he felt inside his throat. His chest felt so tight, he can't breathe. He wheezed. Cough after cough, the poor child wanted to cry from the lack of air.

Thank the heavens for another individual to come in and rush to the child. With both arms, he carried the struggling child to his bedroom and placed him on his bed.

The taller individual scrambled to his feet, opening a cabinet and pulling out a small machine. He plugged it to a socket, got a mask and carefully applied the liquid medicine into the machine's small container.
