Third Person's POV
As the sun set, sweet Aito was tucked in bed. Akaashi couldn't count the days that has passed by already. Ever since training camp, he and Bokuto separated both ways for the upcoming National's. Bokuto also had to go to Osaka for registration to join the MSBY volleyball team.
Not that Akaashi could complain about his best friend being far away though. It's Bokuto's dream of being a professional. Well, he also kind of regretted he declined to join the third year on his trip. He can't leave Aito alone now.
Aito was also another challenge. The poor baby had intense Separation Anxiety to the point that even the poor baby doesn't appreciate Sakura's company. Akaashi and Bokuto's an exemption, considering that they're both parents.
A smile painted its way on Akaashi's lips as the teenager watched the baby sleep with such love in his gunmetal blue orbs. Akaashi rubbed his eyes, quietly leaving Aito's nursery. The sound from the owl mobile, faded as Akaashi went further and further away.
He could only hear the pitter-patter of his steps as he descended down the stairs. Flicking on the lights, he has to squint his eyes from the sudden brightness. He made his way towards the kitchen, fetching a glass of water.
Akaashi quickly fishes his phone after that, after hearing the familiar loud ringtone ring inside the house. "Hello?"
"Kaasheh!" Out came the voice he missed dearly. Akaashi smiled, relaxing against the counter. "Bokuto-san..."
"How are you? You sound tired. Is Sakura-san already home? I hope she isn't staying for a night shift." Bokuto's voice trailed off, Akaashi can already picture a concern expression on his senpai's face. It honestly made his heart flutter, thinking that Bokuto was thinking about them.
Well, he wasn't wrong.
The raven head sighed. "Well, unfortunately she is in charge with night shift right now. And I'm pretty exhausted. Aito-kun's getting restless and restless everyday." Akaashi informed, rubbing the flesh between his eyes.
He could hear Bokuto clicking his tongue on the other side. "Awww Kaashi-kun, I was wanting to talk to you about my experience but it seems like you're tired..."
Akaashi only then realized that he was yawning. "Oh, uh... I can still listen Bokuto-san." He told.
"Nu-uh Kaashi. You need sleep. You do know that our son wakes up ever now and then, right? You need all the energy you can get. Especially since we're nearing national's." Bokuto stated.
"Besides, it's just my wants. The sleep is a need." Bokuto finished. The other line got quiet as Akaashi processed every word the other boy has said.
"B-but, this has happened yesterday."
Bokuto sighed. "Yes it has but what can you do about it?" He muttered. Akaashi fumbled the hem of his pajama, looking down to his toes. "I am terribly sorry. But-"
"I know Akaashi. You're busy during the day and exhausted at night. It's alright, we can talk soon, get rest okay? I'm going back to my room as well." Bokuto assured.
Akaashi nodded, thinking how stupid that gesture is because Bokuto can't see it. "Alright. Good night Bokuto-san, sleep well. Greet Kuroo-san for me as well." A soft 'hmm' resonated one last time before the line cut.
Akaashi's arm fell limp by his side. Groggily, he made his way upstairs. By the time he hit the bed, he instantly fell into deep slumber.
Bokuto's POV
My arm fell limp against the railings. I sighed deeply, closing my eyes as I let fatigue kick in. Apparently, I had to show off some skills. Well, not really. I was the one playing until some other applicants decided to play.
My soles made a soft thumping sounds as I made my way back inside my shared hotel room with my bro. Swatting the translucent curtains away and the sliding door, the cool a/c met my skin. The coolness of this room welcomed me and I instantly relaxed.
"Hmm? Okay babe. I'll call you soon. Yeah. I will. You too, remember not to play that late. Promise me that kitten. Okay, goodnight, I love you." I heard Kuroo talk to someone on the phone.
He set his mobile aside, laying on the separate bed we were given. "Your boyfriend?" I started, sitting on my separate bed. Kuroo gave me his usual grin that made me beam the same look. "Yeah, just reminding him that he shouldn't stay up that late." Kuroo spoke.
"When did you two got together though?" I asked, sitting criss cross on my bed. Kuroo jutted his lips. "Training camp, the night you and Akaashi left." He pointed towards me.
I was shocked and I rapidly blinked. "You seem shocked. Don't blame me though, you never asked." Kuroo snapped sassily, running his fingers through his raven strands. It's funny how they remain the same appearance.
"I actually thought that you and Akaashi would be one as well..." Kuroo thought aloud. It seems like he hasn't noticed. Or maybe he's just doing it in purpose.
I furiously blushed. Truth to be told, yes, I was supposed to confess to Akaashi but the Aito-fever incident happened and my son matters the most. So it had to be delayed. I was a coward though because up till now, I haven't even seen him in person.
Maybe I was just too flustered that the only thing I can handle is by talking to Akaashi on the phone. "Yo!" I flinched by Kuroo's voice. He kept snapping his fingers right in front of my face. I furrowed my brows, pushing his hands away.
I sighed. "I'll confess maybe after Nationals..." I mumbled, looking away as I feel my heart pound and my cheeks heating up. I heard Kuroo's bed make a noise. "Finally!" He cheered, as if sounding so relieved.
"What do I say though? Do you think he'll want to be a professional like me as well?" I asked eagerly, looking at my friend for answers. He hummed, touching his chin in a thinking matter.
"That, I do not know. But," he looked me dead in the eye. "You must respect his decisions, Bo. Not everything will go in the way you want." He told me in somewhat a warning manner. I nodded. "Of course."
He grinned at me, stretching his body just to ruffle my already limp hair. "You can do it bro." He assured. I laughed, playfully swatting his hand away. "Go to bed, jerk..."
I tucked myself in my bed, closing the night lamp at our small night table. Kuroo shrugged. "Good night Kuroo, Kaashi greets you too..." I mumbled, closing my eyes.
"Good night, frosted tips. To Akaashi as well..." I couldn't help but snort at that.
Akaashi's POV
I jolted awake after hearing our front door shut close. I rubbed my eyes, checking my phone that read 3:00 a.m. I rubbed my eyes, placing my warm blanket away from me. My soles connected with cold ground, sending shivers down my spine.
As quiet as I can get, I went outside my room and to the living room. I thought a random stranger has broke in but I sighed in relief when I saw my mom, passed out cold on our couch.
I gently placed the rubber baseball bat away and approached my mom. I feel sorry for her working so late. I can clearly see the dark bags forming below her eyes. I wanted to wake her up and tell her to move to her bedroom but she looks so drained.
Instead, I got some warm blankets for her. I covered her with the clothe, making sure she is comfortable. After that, I went towards my son's nursery.
I softly frowned as I approached the crib. Shocked by the fact when Aito rolled over, he was awake. "Aito?" I whispered in disbelief and was replied with a cooing noise.
"Sweet heavens, why are you awake?" I worriedly questioned, lifting him by the armpits. I pursed my lip, he felt warm. It wasn't like the normal temperature.
I relaxed myself, I couldn't panic like that. I need to stay strong. I took a deep breath in, leaving the nursery. "Let's sleep together Aito-kun..." I suggested, leading ourselves to my bedroom. I settled on my bed, placing Aito comfortably in my grasp.
My free hand, traveling towards my night table and got his warm bottle of milk. "Please do drink baby, you'll feel better." I assured quietly, softly pushing the rubber tip in his mouth.
Aito drank, his eyes kids getting heavy and heavy. Until my poor son was asleep. I set the bottle aside, tucking both of us under my sheets. I snuggled closer to my son, planting a kiss on his forehead. "Go to sleep love, we'll have our check up tomorrow..." I whispered.

I shifted uncomfortably on my seat, getting sick of the smell of sanitizers and medicine. Though, the appearance of the cute colors and drawing on the wall made a distraction. I look down to my son, noticing that his royal blue orbs were intently watching a certain object.
"It looks like an owl, right?" I spoke to him, dangling the owl key chains by the side of the desk. He babbled, flailing his chubby arms as he bounced on my lap.
Just in time, the door opened with a squeak. I whip my head towards the direction, eyes landing on the female pediatrician. "Good noon, I came back with the results." She greeted, setting down on her desk.
"What is it doc?" I asked. She gave me a smile, handing me a paper filled with writing. "Your son just have separation anxiety, every child has passed this stage as a process of growing up. Though..." She trailed off.
I couldn't help but crease my brows, not minding of my nails buried deep in my palm as I clenched my fist. "In his case, it's severe. He can get ill or sick. May I ask a trivial question?"
I nodded silently. "Did he encounter a very dangerous event?" She asked cautiously. Immediately, memories flooded in my head about our experiences... With Satou-san.
"He... He did." I answered. The doctor nodded with a neutral face. "Then that's one of the main reasons why. He's scared of his environment and only feels safe with certain people only." She informed.
"I suggest spending time with your son with every moment you can get and show him foreign people and places for him to get used to." She suggested. After that, our trip to the clinic ended.

Third Person's POV"Ah, Akaashi..." Bokuto who sat criss-cross before Akaashi on the soft mat, called out to the younger. Akaashi faced away from what he was doing, eyes immediately falling unto to Aito's face. The poor baby had snots, running down his chin. Akaashi took wipes, gently wiping the sticky substance away.
Aito coughed, a crackly sound resonating inside the house. "Ara, it sounds like his fever hasn't gone away at all." Sakura piped in, tone filled with concern. She placed the thermos beside Akaashi who muttered a quick 'thanks' before resuming on making the baby's milk.
"He'll have to rest more then. He seems more calm and tired nowadays." Bokuto chimed softly, playing with his son's little fingers. Akaashi sighed, removing the owl pacifier from Aito's mouth, replacing it with a bottle of milk. "He must, in hopes to get better." The raven head muttered, standing up from the mat and went towards the kitchen.
"Please do spend time with him, I'll be at the altar mom." Akaashi informed quietly as he wiped his wet palms on his pants. Bokuto watched the neutral looking setter walk away. "He's down casted... " Bokuto commented, surprising Sakura who was awfully silent.
"You can tell?" She asked. Bokuto quirked a brow. "Well, I do. I guess it's because I've known him for a long time now...?" He answered hesitantly. But then he frowned, taking the bottle lightly from Aito's mouth. The baby squirmed in discomfort. "What's the matter bub?" Bokuto asked, making the baby bounce on his lap.
Sakura scooted closer. "Why? what's the matter?" She inquired. "He's not finishing his meal." Bokuto answered before he pursed his lip. He brought the rubber close to Aito's lips. "Come on bub. You need food for energy." Bokuto encourage.
Aito took the word and put the bottle back into his mouth. Sakura relaxed but Bokuto didn't. He forced himself to relax though. A few minutes later, Aito pushed the bottle away from his mouth using his tongue. He whimpered, tossing around in Bokuto's hold. "Let me take that." Sakura offered, taking the almost empty bottle from Bokuto.
It didn't take long for Aito to wail loudly. Bokuto immediately rocked Aito in his arms. Thumping on the floor made him look up. Akaashi was spped walking to his direction. He went over the plastic fence and sat, taking Aito from the older's hold.
"Shhh shhh." Akaashi cooed softly. He began to hum the lullaby Aito loved. The cries got softer but it didn't stop. Akaashi raised his hand, placing it on Aito's back. He drew circle patterns, occasionally, gently patting Aito's bum. Aito did a disturbing cough.
And then, a gagging noise was heard. Akaashi widened his eyes when his back felt wet and warm. Bokuto froze, watching the substance stain the younger's clothes. Aito cried loudly. White, icky substance running to his chin. His noise became runny, snot mixing with his vomit.
Despite feeling so worried and scared for their son to suddenly vomit, it annoyed Akaashi. Not directed to the baby of course, rather, towards Bokuto who stared in horror. "Bokuto-san, you overfed him!"~~~
