What's UP I'm finally back.

Chiron

"SHIELD! At camp! A giant ship!" Screams an Ares camper who was put on guard duty. The Athena and Ares cabins are rallying, and I race out to where the enemy is.

"Reyna?" I call out. "Is that you?"

Reyna walks down the ramp of the plane, using her arm to shield someone behind her. "Hold your fire! Hold your fire!" She yells. The call is echoed around camp.

"Where have you been? Who's this?"

Reyna studies the people gathered on the lawn, and seeing their distrust and hatred of SHIELD, says, "We'll talk in private."

I lead the way back to the farmhouse, but I'm stopped by a voice. "Chiron, if something's happening we deserve to know." Clarisse says.

"If anything of interest happens, you'll find out with the other cabin leaders." I tell her.

"But-"

"Clarisse, I need you on guard duty." She sighs and turns back to her campers, redividing them into units.

The stranger watches everything with awe and wariness. Typical of a new camper, but if she's a demigod, wouldn't she know all of this already? She wouldn't see it if she was mortal.

I usher the girls into the basement, where sound proofed walls mean Clarisse and the others can't eavesdrop. "So Reyna, what brings you here today?"

"This is Daisy, from SHIELD." Reyna says.

"SHIELD? In camp? Reyna-"

She puts up a hand. "Relax. She's also a demigod who somehow slipped your notice. Daisy's father is Aeolus."

"And you need my help because Aeolus is a Greek God and you're Roman." I finish for her. Reyna nods as Daisy's gaze flits uncertainly between us.

I sigh. My mind is torn between New-Camper Mode and War Mode. Daisy's likely confused and scared, but she's also our current and biggest enemy. So I can't keep her in camp and I can't send a camper with her and Reyna in case this is all a trick. Not the Aeolus part, I trust Reyna, but Daisy's willingness.

"If it's too much trouble, I could go alone." Daisy offers.

"No. You don't know what you're signing up for." Reyna shoots back.

"I've met Thor! Once... at an interview... it doesn't matter. I can handle it."

I shake my head. "Daisy, if I'm going to agree to anything, I need to know who's side you're on. SHIELD, or demigods?"

Daisy POV

Who's side? How could I ever choose that? This was a SHIELD mission... but I don't agree with what SHIELD's doing this time. I need to understand these people if I'm to negotiate for them. I need to understand these people because they're my people. "Your side." I answer. "I will make things right with SHIELD when the time comes, but I am on your side."

Chiron, I think someone called him? He raises an eyebrow. "Are you sure? I want your loyalty before I make any decisions."

I nod. "I don't agree with holding teenagers in cells."

Chiron nods, the faintest hint of a smile wavering. "I have the perfect plan for you then. While I can't send one of my campers with you, I can show you how to sense for yourself where Aeolus will be. But only after you go and get Nico out of SHIELD or at the very least into better conditions."

I weigh the options. "Chiron, I want to do this. So badly. But I could never convince my team to let Nico out. He attacked them."

Chiron shakes his head. "It's what you're going to have to do to win my support."

"That and prevent a major legal and publicity issue." Reyna adds.

"What?"

"My sources say Nico's being kept in a room with constant bright lights. Isn't he?"

"Well, yeah, but-"

"And I'm sure you know that's messing up his sleep rhythms and he's not getting nearly as much sleep as a teenager should."

How did I not see this coming. "Look, I didn't want to do it to him either," I say, "But if it's dark he can teleport."

"And if it's bright it's sleep deprivation, which you know is an outlawed form of torture." Reyna shoots back.

"Not to mention the fact that they were never provided legal aid." Chiron adds.

"Are you blackmailing me? I told you, I'm on your side, but what you're asking is impossible."

Chiron shakes her head. "All you have to do is turn out the lights now and then. He won't run away, if I tell him not to. If you turn us down you'll never meet your father."

"Of course if you don't care, fine. Go back to your team. Maybe you'll make it back for movie night. Or forget your boss and get in that plane. Let's go make a few things right."

What am I waiting for?

"Ok."

A/N I made a really subtle Heather's reference at the end. I recently got fully into it, and If I had a nickel for every time I got really into a musical that I later learned was based off an 80's movie starring Winona Ryder that my Dad loves but my Mom's never seen, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's still weird that it happened twice.

Also I'm sorry I haven't updated.
