Chapter One: New friends
I watch as the cars pass by us. They all seem to go pretty fast or my mom drives really slow.
I really didn't want to go my mother's friends house. Only cause she doesn't have any daughters. Like is there one family where they have a daughter that's not a baby? All my friends are guys and I just want one simple girl friend.
"Mommy do we really have to go?" I asked my mother from the back seat. I started to move around uncomfortably from my seat irritated to why I have to go. "Yes sweetie. I can't just leave you alone at home." My mother answered parking in front of a big house like really big.
From the looks of it, it was like a huge building like...um... Skyscrapers...things. "But I'm not 4 years old no more! I can take care of myself!" I whined from my seat.
My mother chuckled. "Sweetie. You're 6 years old. You can't just stay home alone yet. Plus you will have fun." My mother said killing the car and opening her door shutting it and walking out towards my door.
I started to squirm around trying to take of the seatbelt and just run away but I couldn't. A few seconds later she came and opened my door and I crossed my arms. "No I won't. They always pick on me. All your friends kids pick on me. Even the babies pick on me!" I said pouting at her.
She chuckled again taking off the belt and grabbing me. "Maybe they just like you." She said locking the door and walking over to the huge enormous gigantic house!
"Well I don't want them to like me." I pouted at her once again as she chuckled at me.
Meanie.
She knocked twice on the door and we waited a while until a boy around my age opened the door. "Hi Jonathan! Is your mother home?" My mother chirped.
I hid behind her leg staring at the boy. He had green blue mixed eyes that now I wished I had since mine are only a Carmel chocolate color that goes dark every once in a while....or that's what some boys have told me.
"Uh...Mommy!" He yelled looking back inside the house. I hid more behind my mothers leg when a woman came. "Hi Barbara. Come on in." The very very pretty lady said.
My mother moved forward while I moved in a fast speed clinging to her leg tripping over my own feet. "Hi there. You must be Leila. Nice to meet you, sweetie. I'm Susan and these are my two sons, Jonathan and Gaberial." She said while two kids hid behind her legs.
"Hi." I mumbled. "Why does she have long hair?" The boy from earlier said looking up to Susan. "Cause she just does." She said smiling at me.
"Leila. Why don't you say hi to them and tell them your name and age?" My mother said pulling me out from behind.
I shifted awkwardly while fiddling with my fingers. "Hi. I'm leila and I'm 6 years old." I answered while Susan laughed.
"Aw she's so cute." She smiled at me which I returned shyly.
"I'm jonathan. I'm 7 years old and I'm a man." He said placing two fist on his sides.
I cross my arms and pouted, "You're just a boy." I told to him while he glared at me.
"I'm Gaberial. I'm 4 years old." The boy with the red shirt and light blue eyes said clinging to his mother's leg.
I smiled at him but turned back to look at my mother. "Can I go home now?" I asked while Susan and her laughed.
"Not yet sweetie. Why don't you three run along and play." My mother spoke just then Gaberial grabbed my arm and pulled me up the stairs.
I was stumbling along my own feet until I fell on the last step. "Hey! I can walk, you know!" I yelled at Jonathan and Gaberial who were laughing at me.
