Chapter fourteen: Boring Day

Only 8 more days and winter break is here. And we still haven't decided what we should do. I stared at the clock on the wall and groaned quietly when I saw only have half an hour has past.

Being in detention sucks. Since Jonathan didn't want to suspend me from school, he thought it be better to give me detention until winter break. What a great mate I have.

Sassy today, aren't we?

I banged my head on the table trying to kill my brain in process. Stupid brain. Can I not talk to myself for one day?!

"Keep the noise down, Ms. Sanchez." Mrs. Rodriguez spoke without having to lift her head out of her book.

"Sorry Mrs. Rodriguez." I mumbled.

I pulled out myself and started texting Crystal.

Me: heeeeeeyy, I'm bored. What you doing?

Within a few seconds I got a reply:

Crystal: I'm just in this boring class. I can't believe your stupid mate gave you detention. It's no fun in class without you.

Me: I knoooww. For the first time I think I prefer to actually be suspended instead of being in here until winter break.

Crystal: I know. So winter break...what are we gonna do?

Me: I have no fucking idea. We moved our trip to Paris to spring break so now we need to think of something. but seriously Paris!? What are we billionaires?!

Crystal: Well...we are kinda rich not billionaires but we are high class. Anyways Justin said he was paying for our flight and Michael was paying for the hotel while Derrick and Lucas are gonna pay for the places we might go. Us, girls, are just gonna shop.

Me: As in you guys only. I'm not a shopper. You know that. But ugh! We need to focus on winter break. Winter break, winter break!

Crystal: Maybe we can just head to the mountains like last time.

Me: Crystal we must do something else! Let's go to Vegas! Los Angeles! Um...umm...Arizona!

Crystal: Vegas, sure. Los Angeles...maybe. Arizona! No! Ew!

Me: What's wrong with Arizona?

"Ms. Sanchez, please put your phone away." Mrs. Rodriguez spoke once without looking up.

Me: gotta go. Got busted. Text you later. Love you bye!

"Sorry Mrs. Rodriguez." I spoke putting my phone away. I heard a few snickers around and I glared at everyone which caused them to shut it.

I sighed deeply and rested my head on the table. What a boring day. I guess I can take a nap.

"I swear I'm done with school!" I yelled slamming my locker shut.

"Dude. Detention couldn't be that bad!" Deena chuckled.

I narrowed my eyes at her and pointed at her, "You shut it. I got caught twice for 'making sounds' and Mrs. Rodriguez didn't even look up from her book! How is that even possible!?" I yelled strolling down the hallway with my hands in my pocket.

"You do know 95% of the people at school are werewolves, right? Including Mrs. Rodriguez." Deena smiled at me causing to sighed deeply.

"I know! I keep forgetting I live in a world where werewolves and lee- I mean vampires actually exist!" I grunted looking down at the ground.

"Leila!" Someone yelled from behind us. We stopped and turned around. I saw Cassandra running towards me with a huge smile.

"Hey girlie." I breathed out whe Cassandra hugged me tightly while I had one arm wrapped around her shouders.

"Where have you been?! I been looking for you all day!" She yelled pulling away.

"Clingy, aren't we?" I wiggled my eyebrows at her, making her blush, "And I was in detention. That's what I get for getting into fights." I added smiling at her.

"Protective, aren't we?" Deena wiggled her eyesbrows at me. I narrowed my eyes at her, making her laugh.

"See you later, L. Bye little one." Deena ruffled Cassandra's hair and walked away.

I felt my phone vibrate twice. I pulled it out and saw I had a message from Jonathan, making me blush. I seriously need to change his name.

Love: Hey, babe. I won't be able to take you home or spend time with you today. I need to fill in some files for Cassandra's family so they can join the pack. But I promise tomorrow I will make it up for you. Love you, bestie.

Me: It's cool. Well see you tomorrow than. Love you too, Jonathan. ;p

"Hey I didn't know you were joining Jonathan's pack." I spoke wrapping my arm around Cassandra's shoulder. She nodded and we started to walk out of the building.

"Yeah. It's cause we left our old pack. It was really mad there. Since our old Alpha had only a daughter he had to hand the title to her. The Alpha was gonna give it to his Beta son but they banished him a long time ago. And now our old stupid female Alpha is really...controlling." Cassandra spoke making me feel very curious now.

"Do you happen to know the Beta's son's name?" I asked her.

"I think his name was E-Emmanuel Sanchez? Yeah that's his name. Emmanuel Sanchez. Why do you ask?" She looked up at me.

"Cause that man is my father. What's your old packs name?" I questioned her while we continued to walk down the street.

"Luna pack. Like every pack is named by their Alpha's last name and no lie their last name is Luna. Alpha Sabrina Luna. Stupid name I know." She laughed making me smile. We stayed in silence while we continued to walk down the road to who knows where.

So that's the pack that killed my father. His own pack. Wow, what bitches.

"How about we head to my house and watch some movies?" I spoke breaking the awkward silence.

"Sure." She smiled at me and we headed towards my house now. I wonder...does my grandfather know I exist?
