Chapter sixteen: Save Me

After heading out towards my house, Jonathan was waiting for me in front of my door. I locked my car and walked over towards him with a smile.

"Hey." I spoke quietly.

"Hi. You wanna do something?" He asked rubbing the back of his neck.

"Sure. We can go to the movies. Play in the woods. Go to the park. Go out and eat. Choose anything." I smiled at him.

"Lets just go watch a movie. Eat and than head to the woods." He smiled back at me.

I nodded and we headed towards his car. We got on and headed off to the closest cinema. We sat there in silence. I continued to stare about the window confused and lost.

"So how did it go?" Jonathan asked breaking the silence.

"Oh um. Okay. I ended up growling at him." I said sheepishly.

"What like animalistic growl or those stupid 'annoyed' growl you do?" He raised a brow at me.

"An animalistic growl. I mean I'm human. Well partly human. Well thirty-five percent human. Or was it forty percent? Whatever, well I still don't get how I growled like that."

"Does that mean you'll shift?" He asked, looking at me, stopping at a red light.

"Um actually no. Just cause I'm somewhat human doesn't mean I'm fully werewolf. My dad was a werewolf. My mom is human. Plus werewolves shift at the age of thirteen, I think. I'm seventeen. There's like no possible way for me to shift. Mom said it was a fifty-fifty chance. I got that bad fifty percent chance though. But I still have genes of a werewolf." I spoke doing weird hand gestures.

"Ah. Okay." Was his only response. I can't blame him. I wouldn't know how to answer that as well.

After a while we finally arrived to the cinema. It's been a while since I came here. Mostly with someone.

"What movie should we watch?" He asked holding my hand. I looked down and than back up to the screen showing all the movies.

"Um how about something with action? Or horror?" I asked feeling all giddy and jumpy.

"Horror movie it is." He smiled and paid our tickets.

*

Throughout the whole movie, Jonathan had his hand over my mouth to stop me from laughing out loud. He didn't like how people would stare at me when I would laugh. It's not my fault that people died really dumb. It's kinda hilarious. But when it comes to an animal. Oh my god. I need tissues and life.

"Well that was interesting." Jonathan mumbled while we walked out. I couldn't help but chuckle, earning a few stares again.

"It was a dumb yet funny movie. I mean it was kinda funny how you would flinch once in a while when jumpscares came up." I smiled.

"Shut up." He muttered, pouting like a baby.

"Aw did I hurt the baby's little tiny feelings?" I spoke, pinching his cheeks.

"Stop. I'm no baby!" He whined whacking my hands away.

"Owwie. you're a meanie." I pouted and started to walk away.

"No wait come back!" Jonathan yelled walking over to me.

"No. You're a meanie. Go away." I pouted even more and walked out. I started to smile when I heard him calling me, apologizing for not even doing anything.

I turned around and whacked his chest. "I hope you learned your lesson!" I yelled turning away again.

"I did." He spoke wrapping his arms around my waist from behind.
