Chapter twenty-three: Mr. Reyes...Again
"Come on, you can't be serious now!" I yelled while my friends dragged me away.
"Sorry, rules are rules you two can't see each other until the wedding day." Sophie spoke pushing me harder.
""I'll see you later my love!" I yelled looking at Jonathan who was being dragged away by all my guys friends.
"I miss you already!" He yelled back, making me smile.
"Come on. Let's go. We need to start planning the wedding." Marlene smiled, making me roll my eyes.
"I'm going home. You guys do that and text me the deets. Later." I strolled off while they all waved bye and chatted amongst each other.
Seriously, ever since the proposal, they had non-stop talked about when the wedding shall be. It's weird having an engagement ring on my finger and mostly when my parents still don't know. I think they know, I'm not sure.
I was about to cross the street when a black SUV pulled right up in front of me. I rolled my eyes and slipped inside already knowing who it was.
"Glad you finally understood." He spoke while I dropped my bag on a seat.
"I don't even know why you bother your time talking to me Mr. Reyes. Its fucking pointless." I mumbled.
"Sweetie, don't talk to the alpha like that." My father spoke, making me jump.
"What are you doing here?!" I practically yelled.
"Are you forgetting that we're friends?" My dad spoke, moving his hand between him and Robert while I glared at him.
"Well your friend here, as a weird thing for kidnapping me when I don't notice him." I continue to glare only to turn it to Robert who smirked at me.
"It's not a weird thing. It's just a habit." He spoke while I scoffed at him.
"It was only one time you tried kidnapping me. One time." I spoke while he shrugged.
"I wasn't talking about just kidnapping you, though." He spoke, making me roll my eyes.
"Hey, don't roll your eyes." My father glared at me but I only rolled my eyes once again but in a more dramatic way.
"Oh whatever." I smiled, "Anyway. What's this meeting for?" I asked.
"I was wondering when the wedding day was." Robert spoke making me widen my eyes in shock.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about?!" I stuttered.
"Honey, you're wearing your engagement ring." My father spoke, point at my hand which I totally forgot to take off.
I scratched the back of my neck nervously, giving out a small chuckle. "Oops?"
"It's alright. We're actually here to talk to you cause we are giving you our blessings." Robert spoke, making my heart skip a beat.
"Really?" I whispered.
"Yes. I know when we first met we got off on the wrong foot but seeing that you only were like that was cause of the pain your father caused you." Robert spoke, my dad cutting him off.
"Which with all my heart, I didn't mean to cause you so much pain. I thought I was doing the right thing." He said but turned his direction back to Robert as I did the same.
"I noticed you're a great friend, daughter, human. Well half human. I noticed all the things you done for my son and I noticed how he would give everything up just for your happiness." He smiled which I returned.
