Chapter twelve: Good evening...Mr. Reyes.
"This is it. This is it." My mom muttered pacing my room back and forth.
I let the last curl fall down and I shook my head making it seem more natural.
"Why do you always do that hairstyle?" She question watching me now watching me curl my bangs. I quickly drop it and move it to the side so now it curled in with the curl.
"Cause mom. When I'm neverous I always curl the top half curly and the bottom straight. Plus my curls never perfect." I spoke moving my straight hair around and slipping my fingers in the curls.
"Well it looks beautiful. You should put on the heels now. Jonathan can be here any minute." She went inside my closet grabbing a box that contained those dangerous heels.
She did my makeup and eyebrows, and I swear, I will never do this shit again.
I took the box from her hands and took out the black heels and quickly slipped them making me 4 inches taller.
There was a knock on the door and my mother squealed running out my room to answer.
"I thought I was the teenager." I spoke to no one, slowly walking out my door trying not to die.
"Good evening Jonathan. You looking very handsome." I heard my mother speak while I grabbed on the railing. I look down and see my mom and Jonathan standing at the door and my, oh my, he looked good in a tuxedo.
"Good evening Barbara. And thank you. Is Leila ready?" He smiled at her nervously.
I started slowly walking down taking deep breathes, and small steps.
Don't trip. Don't trip. Don't trip.
"There she is!" My mother squealed while Jonathan stared at me in awe.
"I clean up nice, don't I?" I wiggled my eyebrows at him.
"You look gorgeous." He breathed out smiling at me making me smile in return.
"Thanks. You don't looks bad yourself."
"Thanks. We should head now. Goodnight Barbara. I'll return her before midnight." Jonathan bowed his head towards my mother, who nodded in return.
"Of course. Goodnight. Have fun." She grabbed my elbow and leaned forward, "Good lock. And you tell me everything that happened when you get back." She whispered in my ear. I nodded and grabbed Jonathan's arm trying to walk with him.
I need so much luck right now.

We arrived at a huge house in no time. I don't recognize it at all. Where are we?
"Welcome to my new house. Well mom's house. She wanted this one this time." Jonathan spoke answering my unspoken question.
"Huge. Like the old one." I answered stepping out the car.
We walked towards the door and this time I was walking perfectly but my stomach kept doing flips and turns. Will he like me? He won't kill me, right?
We knocked on the door and with an instant, Jonathan's mom answered the door.
"Leila! It's great to see you! Come on in! The foods ready!" She spoke happily, pulling us in.
"Good evening Ms. Reyes. You haven't aged since the last time I saw you." I said to her making her smile.
"Such a charmer Leila. Oh, look how much you grown. Come, come. I want you to meet my husband. Robert." She pulled my arm towards the living room while Jonathan walked behind us.
