Seoyul's POV

I walked over to the subway where I took the train home. When I got home, I pushed the door opened and I smelled a strong aroma from my mom's cooking.

I smiled brightly as I took off my shoes before I hopped over to her. " What's for dinner today? " She peered over at me.

" Tofu stew. " I nodded with a smile.

She brought it over to the dining table and I followed behind. " Call Changbin down for dinner. " I nodded as I took my phone out.

I sat down as I dial his number placing my phone over my ear. " Mom asked you to come down for dinner, you dumb-wit. "

My mom smacked me, " What? You told me to call him! " She smacked me once more.

" Do you know how expensive a call is? " She asked. I screamed as she smacked me.

Changbin hung up the call as he came walked down the stairs while using his phone. " We're eating Tofu stew for dinner today. " I said and he nodded.

He took a seat next to me while using his phone. My mom eyed him, " Can't you stop using your phone and focus on eating first? " I nod.

" Or else your clumsy self is going to reappear again. " I said and he looked up.

Changbin scoffed, " I wonder who almost ate the new menu without checking if it contains Tree nut. " He said sarcastically.

" I didn't think about it! " I retorted.

My mom raised her brows, " You almost ate tree nuts? " I nodded as I avoided eye contact with her.

" Thank god I told her not to eat it because it contains tree nut. " He eyed me.

I rolled my eyes, " Thank you very much for your contribution, Mr Seo Changbin. " I said sarcastically.

" You almost died, you moron. " My mom smacked him on the head using the back of her wooden spoon. He massaged the part that my mom hit while looking at his phone.

My mom tried peering over at his phone, " Changbin, can't you eat your food first? It's not good for you if you were to look at your phone while eating. " Changbin shook his head.

" It's an assignment due tonight. " He replied.

" What assignment? " I asked as I scooped some of the stew into my bowl.

Without thinking, Changbin said, " Music production. " My jaw dropped as I nudged him trying to remind him that my mom doesn't know about it.

My mom slammed her chopsticks against the table as she raised her voice. " What? Music Production? " Changbin flinched as he placed his phone facing down.

" Seo Changbin, is this why your grades have been going from bad to worse? " I gulped as I placed my utensils down.

Changbin took a deep breath, " No. It's just the syllabus got harder so I- " She slammed her hand against the table as she stood up.

" Are the both of you trying to drive me to my death bed? " She eyed the both of us.

I pursed my lips as I looked over at Changbin who is looking down at the ground. " Mom, I heard from my friend that his songs are really good. " I said, trying to help him.

Instead, I got a scolding. " Oh, so you know about it too but the both of you chose to keep it from me? " I shook my head.

" I just found out about it today! " I said but she didn't want to listen.

She nod, " Fine. " She walked off into her room, leaving the both of us sitting at the dining table not knowing what to do.

" Let's eat. " Changbin said and I nod.

He looked over at me, " How did you find out I produce music? " He raised his brows as I shoved a spoonful of rice into my mouth.

" My friend told me. You know the girl you saw today? Yeah her. " I said and he nodded.

I looked over at my mom's room, " Should we persuade her to eat? " Changbin sighed before nodding.

One of us scooped a bowl of tofu stew and the other took her bowl of rice as we brought it over to the door of her room. " Mom, do you want to eat some? " I asked.

" The food is going to turn cold. " Changbin said.

There's no reply.

I pursed my lips, " Mom, We'll put it on the table. If you're hungry, just come out and eat. Don't worry, we will be in our room so you won't see our faces. " Changbin nodded.

We placed it at the table before going up to our rooms.

Felix's POV

" Felix, can you take your medication already? " The nurse asked after coming in for the 1000th times but I'm still reluctant.

I gulped, " Give me a bit more time. " She sighed.

" That's what you said when I came in the previous, previous, previous, prev- " I cut her off.

I sighed, " I get it. Can you get the Ribena for me? It's in the refrigerator. " She nodded as she walked over to get the drink.

" Just mix it with the medication. " I said.

She did what I told her. She pulled the syringe and fed me the medication since I can't move any of my hands for now. " Water please. " I said as she fed me some water to cleanse my palate.

After I ate all the medication, she was about to walk out when she stopped as she turned to face me. " Oh, Doctor Park wants me to get your family information from you. Since you're below the age of 18- " I cut her off.

" I don't have a family. " She was taken aback by what I said. She nodded before leaving the room.

I laid there in bed as I watched the television where there's a Basketball match going on. I stared at them as they passed the ball around and everyone cheered while I sat there in the dark.

I let out a sigh as I closed my eyes, trying to get some sleep.

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door and I opened my eyes slightly to see who it is. " Felix. " When I heard that voice, my mind immediately went haywire.

" Leave. " I said coldly as I glared at him.

" I don't want and I don't need you here. " His expression softened as he stood by the door, not moving an inch away from my room.

I scoffed, " Don't you understand what is leave? "

Instead of leaving, he walked into my room and turned on my lights causing my eyes to go all oh my god. " Who even called you here? The nurses? The doctors? I told them I don't have a family. " I sneered.

He brought some fruits as he placed them on the table at the side of the ward. " I came here to see you. " He replied.

" I don't need you to visit me. I've been living fine on my own for such a long time. " He smiled slightly as he walked over to my bedside.

" Felix, I'm your father. I- " I cut him off.

I scoffed as I glared at him.

" The moment you chased me out of the house, I no longer have a father. "
