Seoyul's POV

" I can explain! " I said.

I eyed Changbin, trying to ask for help but that beach was so confused that he blankly stared into space. " That's my mom. " I said.

" But isn't that Changbin's mom? " Han asked.

I gulped, " The truth is- " I bit my lips as I looked down. I took a deep breath before looking up at them again.

" Changbin is my brother. " I said.

Haru's jaw dropped while Chan and Han dropped their utensils into their soups. " What? " They all said in unison.

Changbin nodded, " Seoyul is my sister. "

" But he's a Seo and you're a Yoon. " Haru said.

" We have the same mom but different dad. " I said while staring at them. They were all dumbfounded by the truth.

I cursed under my breath, " Why did you guys hide it though? " Haru asked.

I glared at Changbin, " I don't know. " Changbin pursed his lips.

" I just felt like it would be embarrassing to know that we're siblings with different fathers so I told her to keep it a secret. " I nod.

" Wait. So you guys share a mom? " Han asked and we nodded.

Afterwards, I just sat there in silence not knowing what I should do or say because things became rather awkward.

Haru kicked my feet slightly from under the table, signalling us to leave. " We'll get going now. " I shot them a smile before we left the store.

When we're out, I was so prepared to be reprimanded by Haru. " Who knows that Changbin is your brother? " She asked.

" Only you. " I replied.

She nodded, " I'm sorry I didn't tell you about it. "

She shook her head, " It's fine. It's just really shocking that Changbin is your brother so I'll need some time to process that information. "

I walked her to the bus stop and we sat down on the bench there as we waited for her bus to come. Haru looked over at me, " Now everything made sense! " She said.

" No wonder you resemble him and you know that he hates pineapples on pizzas! " I nodded.

" But how's Changbin like at home though? " I thought for a bit as memories of Changbin at home flashed in my head.

I forced a smile, " There's a contrast. That's all I can say. " I wouldn't want to ruin my own brother's reputation as well as my friend's impression of him.

Her bus came and she got on while waving at me with a smile.

I took my phone out and it's about time my mom closed her store. I walked back into the store where they were still eating. " Why are you back? " Changbin asked.

" Why can't I be back? " I asked.

" It's just, you walked out and now you're back. " He said and I nodded.

" I send Haru off so I'm back. " I replied.

Suddenly, Han and Chan burst into laughter while Changbin and I stared at them in confusion. " I see. Your friends are just like you. " Changbin looked over at me with his brows raised.

" Weird and creates confused. " I replied.

Chan laughed, " The way you guys retort each other is hilarious! " He laughed even harder while I stared at him not knowing how to react.
