A telephone rings in the house on Friday morning. A few busy people downstairs shared a few screams and yells about who would answer the call, but the wife and a mother of the house admitted her defeat and approached the ringing phone. Unknown numbers usually call them to their cell phones, then the one who's calling them now is their close relatives who knows the phone number by heart since the Akaashi household had lived here even before the mother and the father got married. It was out of habit that the relatives memorized their phone number because they constantly called them about their relationship and the pregnancy before Akaashi Keiji was born. Even up until now, their relatives prefer to call them via house telephone instead of their cell phones.

The son of the family is getting ready for his last day of school this week, a few of his assignments are already finished and ready to be collected next week. He was buttoning up his shirt, however what's stopping him is the lips on his neck and strong-firm arms around his waist, preventing him from getting ready despite him being supposed to be walking down the stairs 15 minutes ago. He had skipped a day this week, and Akaashi does not wish to waste his attendance list because of the thief who stole half of his life. The man with golden eyes who had been keeping him under his wings and accompanying him most of his lonely nights. Akaashi had forgotten the feelings of being lonely, and he thanked the thief inside his room.

"Are you going to come home early today?" Bokuto asked as he nibbled his earlobe.

Akaashi giggled before sighing with a content smile. "I am. I should be home around 11 today,"

"Marvelous," The emerald eyed lad snorted at that. "I want to see you in a dress soon. I miss you,"

"Bokuto-san, I've been here with you most of the days," he told him but the smile is still plastered on his face.

Then a horrified scream from his mother downstairs made the two boys paralyzed by the sudden sound. Akaashi's mother is always calm, similar to her son, therefore hearing her screaming from the top of her lungs on that early morning is startling the two boys. Akaashi's wide emerald eyes glanced at the thief primarily before untangling himself from his arms to dash off to his mother. The head of the family also quickly ran to the living room to check on his wife who still had the house telephone pressed on her ear. The two males flashed a look at each other before standing a few feet from her for support.

Her back is facing them, they are unable to read her expression. What kind of expression is she wearing right now? After hearing her horrifying scream, so loud that it echoes the whole house, Akaashi couldn't imagine just how devastated she must have looked right now. Are his relatives telling melancholy news? If so, why don't they give a short message instead? Why would they bother to include Akaashi's small family? Did they not remember that his mother isn't very good at handling unpleasant news, especially this early? Akaashi almost had the urge to yank the telephone from her to make her calm down, but he knows that misbehaving behavior would have pressured his mother even more.

"Honey, what's wrong? Why were you screaming like that?" The father beat Akaashi first for asking her well-being after hanging up the phone.

When she turned around, Akaashi felt sick to the pit of his stomach. Her face is pale, her eyes were losing colors, and she was trembling in fear as if she saw a dead man in front of her. She was stunned, shocked, thunderstruck - You name it. Akaashi's eyebrows furrowed into a frown as he approached his trembling mother, biting his tongue whether he should ask her the same question as his father - he doesn't want to compress more stress than this. And yet, he doesn't have any idea how to handle his mother in this situation.

"Ke-Keiji... My dear...," she looked to her son, taking his hand into her before glancing at her husband.

"You okay?" The father held a firm hold on her back as he frowned at her expression, something he has never seen before.
