"a have a practice match!!"  takeda burst into the gym "our opponents are one of the top four teams in the prefecture!! aoba johsai high!"

"seijoh!?" sugawara squeaked out.

aoba johsai!!?? that's akiro's sch-

"a match against the prefecture's top four!!?" hinata screeched catching sugawara's attention.  

sugawara and daichi shared a look. "they agreed under one condition though" takeda spoke trying to calm down the commotion.

i swear if this is one of akiro's doings-

"what is the condition sensie?" daichi immediately asked a little tensed as well.

"kageyama-kun must play setter for the entire game" 

huh?

"huh!? what's that supposed to mean??" tanaka stepped in scaring takeda, "they have no interest in karansuno but they have taken precautions against kageyama. they looking down on us, turning their noses up?"  

sugawara suddenly felt wooden headed. wait, wait- let's get it from the start. a practice match. with aoba johsai. the school his brother attends. he would be there. they have a condition. and sugawara doesn't get to play. in all aspects, kageyama was an amazing setter. which only got him to the conclusion:

i'm getting stripped of my position.

i'll soon not be the official setter anymore.

i won't get to stay on court.

what is he even thinking about?

it's for the team, it'll be better for the team and he'll give them all his support. 

"i don't mind" suga butted in trying to calm tanaka down. for the team. "an opportunity like this doesn't come around often ya know"

kageyama is way better than me, he deserves to play in the start, it'll lead us to victory, doesn't matter who's playing till our goal is the same right?

"are you sure suga-san? you're our starting setter" tanaka asked again, almost looking like he's begging for suga to say something. anything. suga smiled patting his head.

i'm not-

"yeah, i wanna see how effective hinata and kageyama's play will be against one of the top four" 

but i wanna play too.

"that's true, sensie tell us the further details too please" daichi agreed giving suga the look.

"ah yes- it's a little early but it's on the coming tuesday, since we won't be having a lot of time after school, we'll be playing a three set game, be on time please!!

"YES SIR!!"

"i completely forgot isn't akiro attending seijoh suga-san??" tanaka asked getting a nod of confirmation from sugawara. 

"yeah he is, for some reason i don't even think he knows about the practice match" from what akiro told him last month when he stayed over, sugawara was convinced the boy won't attend practice till kentaro is called too. akiro had also informed suga that both of them were practicing in a local gym near their school.

"akieroh?? whosh twat?" hinata asked, his face stuffed, ignoring tsukishima's disgusted look and kageyama's insults.

"suga's younger brother, he's a part of the volleyball team too" daichi answered taking a bite of his meat bun.
