honestly, sugawara never gave a thought to oikawa's 'fangirls' while he was dating the him.

but today?

oh boy.

who knew it would be so uncomfortable to look at a bunch of girls admiring/being in love with his ex right infront of him?

sugawara could feel a sense of inferiority build in him.

oikawa did leave him for a girl after all. and he was nothing compared to them. even sugawara's bisexual self agreed that the girls were pretty.

"suga-kun!" he heard sakura call him out. all the girls who were also paying attention to the class monitor looked in his direction full of curiosity.

sugawara's eyes shifted to the floor in milliseconds. feeling nervous.

sugawara flicked himself on his left hand on loop trying to calm himself.

he slowly peeked in for safety purposes before stepping into the class.

at the back of his head, he couldn't help but feel thankful about none of the girls sticking their foot out to make him trip.

sugawara smiled awkwardly, walking up to sakura before facing the class.

boys, girls and non-binary (hoes) looked at him. a few almost judging him inside out. sugawara was having an internal battle.

is he good at reading faces or is he over exaggerating it?

he bowed to the class respectfully. a nervous smile showing up on his face itself.

"sugawara koushi here, it's nice to meet you all i hope we get along"

perfect for the amount of times i practiced that in my head. atleast i didn't mess up.

his classmates seemed a little unfazed, a few curious faces, some whispering to each other. sugawara panicked.

his eyes met tooru almost immediately who was staring back at him.

for some odd reason. oikawa smiled at him. sugawara's heart beat was racing at this point as he stared at the boy mesmerized.

"suga-chan! it's good to see you here"
oikawa waved towards the boy cautiously walking to him as if he were trying to ask permission.

sugawara smiled back.

it shocked him inside out.

why is he smiling back?

sugawara couldn't understand. he was well aware oikawa was trying to help him loosen up. buT WHY WAS HE DOING THAT?

"it's nice to meet you again oikawa-san" he smiled back playing along. his insides felt numb.

this just doesn't feel right.

"oikawa-san you know him?" he could hear the girl beside him ask.

"of course i do! he's my rival after all" oikawa was smiling as he replied.

it wasn't genuine.

sugawara could tell that.

"rival? sugawara-san are you from shiratorizawa?" sugawara almost laughed when the girl faced him. oikawa's face had turned dark. an irk mark appearing on his forehead, out of sight from the girl of course.
