'Why not Y/N/N?'

'Because what if he's a creep,' I argued with my roommate Amelia.

'And what if he's a nice guy.'

'You don't know that,' I laughed.

'Look,' Amelia started. 'I've been on a few dates with his mate. He's really nice. So I hardly doubt his mate's a creep.'

We had been arguing for the last 10 minutes. Amelia had gotten home from her date with a guy called Harrison. He had asked if she could set someone up with his mate. I hated the idea of a blind date.

'I'll go on the date,' she started to squeal before I finished my sentence. 'If we make it a double date. Then it's less awkward if we don't get on.'

'Is that the only way you'll go,' she sighed.

'Yep,' I nodded my head.

'Fine. I promise you'll like him.'

'If your wrong you have to cover my rent for the month.'

'Yeah yeah sure what ever gets you to go on the date.'

'What's his name again.'

'Tom, I think.'

Tom. The only clue I had to what this person was like. I'd pestered Amelia all week for more details. She just told me to wait and see what he was like. That it wouldn't be a blind date if I knew what he looked like.

All I'd been told was we were going out on Friday night to a restaurant and there might be a good chance we'd go clubbing afterwards. Great. That made my outfit harder to plan. Something appropriate for dinner, but then something slutty enough for a club afterwards.

Amelia said we were meeting the boys at the restaurant at around 7. Which meant we had to leave at 6:45 and it was currently 5pm. Giving me about 2 hours to get ready.

I had just had a shower and shaved my legs. I was wearing a shortish dress. It was black and off the shoulder that came to my mid thigh and was tight fitting. To go with I wore black strappy heels. I curled my hair letting it fall past my shoulder. For my makeup a simple neutral smoky eye with a neutral lipstick to pair. I put my phone and purse in a black clutch and went into the living room to find Amelia sat on the sofa.

'Wow look at you,' I rolled my eyes at her. 'Tom's gonna fall over when he sees you.'

'Yeah well we're late so we better get going.' She cleared her throat as I made my way over to the door.

'Yes Amelia you look hot as well. I'll be surprised if Harrison doesn't take you right there on the table,' I rolled my eyes.

'Hell yeah,' she giggled running out of the house and I locked the door behind us.

I laughed at my best friend and roommate. We got to the restaurant about 7:05pm. Not too late.

'Haz text me. Saying they we should go in. They've already got a table.'

I nodded at her following her into the restaurant. I suddenly got hit by a wave of nervousness. Thinking I didn't look good enough. That he wouldn't like me. We walked up to a table that I assumed was Harrison and Tom. They both stood up and Harrison greeted Amelia giving her a kiss on the cheek.

'Y/N this is Haz's friend Tom.' I looked at the brunette boy in front of me.

'Y/N.'

'Tom,' he smiled.

I leant over to Amelia and whispered into her ear. 'You didn't tell me he was this hot,' I murmured.

'Oops must've forgotten,' she giggled and I shook my head at her.
