Chapter 7

SUICIDAL THOUGHTS

When Mer got home she sat on the couch and ate cold pizza from the night before. She didn't really eat much, but when she did it was usually pizza.

The whole day Derek was worried for Mer. He knew that she said not to worry about her and that she wasn't his responsiblity. But she was, he was the only one who knew that she wanted to die.

The image of her on the floor bleeding and crying kept replaying in his head. He needed to get her help, but if he did she would never trust him.

"Dr. Shepherd, I have a question," George said. "What is it Dr. O'Malley?" Derek said looking at the chart.

"Has Mer seemed a bit off to you? She doesn't seem like herself," George said sounding worried.

"Dr. Grey is no longer my responsiblity Dr. O'Malley," Derek said. "Oh, sorry. I just thought you cared," George replied. "We'll I don't," Derek said firmly.

But he was lying. He did still care about Mer. He still loved her, but he was with Addison now.

When Mer woke up from her nap she decided to go for a drive.

While Mer was driving she decided to go visit someone. She drove to their house and sat in her car 5 minutes thinking about if she should knock on the door.

She got out of the car and knocked on the door.

"Meredith...?" a man said.
"Thatcher," Mer said back. "What are you doing her?" he said concerned. "Well Ellis died and I was wondering if you ever tried to get in touch with me," she said hopefully.

"Dad! Dinners ready, oh hi I'm Lexie!" a young girl said. "Oh my God, you have another family," Mer said while walking backwards.

"Meredith come join us for dinner, we can talk about this, " Thatcher said awkwardly. "Oh you're Meredith?! I'm your half-sister! You also have another sister Molly," Lexie said while smiling.

"I uh have to go," Mer said while running to her car holding in her tears.

He had another family. He never fought for her. He just forgot about her. Her mom was right about him.

She drove home with tears falling out of her eyes. When she was about to turn into her driveway, she decided to go to the hospital.

She didn't want to live anymore. There was no point. The only reason would be her friends, but they can live without her. They were strong.

When Mer got to the hospital she didn't want anyone to see her, so when she got in she quickly ran to the closest bathroom.

When she was in there she knew what she was about to do. She quickly grabbed her phone and started writing letters to everyone she loved. She even included Thatcher.
