I walked into the shop that Tris worked at. Jo Kobe's I think.
She looks up from the counter and momentarily frowns before putting on a small smile.
"Tobias. How can I help you?"
I scratched the back of my neck.
"Can I uh, talk to you?" I ask.
"Why? Why do you want to talk now? You made it pretty crystal clear how you felt. You're with Christina and I've accepted that."
"I- I just wanted to check in on you."
She rolls her eyes, "Look, I appreciate that but you're not my boyfriend so you don't need to."
I blink. She's right. I'm not her boyfriend.
"You know what Tris? You're right. I'm not your boyfriend. I don't even know why I tried. Have a nice day."
"Tobias-"
I give her a tight smile before making my way back towards the front of the shop. I made sure to slam my shoulder into Cain's as I walked past him.

As soon as Tobias left the shop, I buried my face into my hands and groan.
Why the hell was I such a bitch to him? He was being nice and I can't blame him for moving on with Christina since technically I was dead for three years.
Cain gave me a concerned look, "Are you okay?"
"Um, I need a minute, if that's okay."
"Sure, take as long as you need."
I give him a quick nod before pushing my way to the front of the shop.
Before I knew what I was doing, I was already on the train and then twenty minutes later, I was at the Dauntless Compound.
I made my way to Tobias' apartment, weaving my way through the crowd.
I was a few metres away from his apartment door when someone stopped me by grabbing onto my arm.
I didn't bother looking up at them. "Excuse me," I said through gritted teeth.
"Tris, are you okay?"
I looked up to see Christina.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
She gives me a quick smile before letting go of my arm.
The first thing I noticed was that she had dug her nails into my arm but that was probably just an accident so I decide to drop it.
"What are you doing here?" she asks.
"I need to talk to Tobias," I reply shortly.
She frowns instantly. "Why?" she eyes me suspiciously.
"To talk?" I reply slowly.
"I don't think that's a good idea."
I inhale slowly. She was really beginning to piss me off.
"Why? You think I'm going to seduce him or something?" I spat coldly.
She flinches slightly, "Of course not. But Tobias looked pretty pissed off before so I think it would be best for you to leave."
I roll my eyes, "Whatever."
I push my way past her and walk back to the station and make my way back to work.

Zoe hugged me as soon as I walked into the shop.
"Are you okay?" she asked as soon as she let go.
I nod, "Yeah. I tried to go talk to her but his girlfriend practically forced me to come back here."
Zoe makes a face, "What a bitch. Who was she?"
I scowl, "Christina."
Liam comes to join in the conversation. "What a minute, isn't she your bestie?"
I sigh, "I don't know but every time I try to approach him or something like that she thinks that I'm going to steal him back or something which I'm definitely not. I've accepted the fact that their together but why the hell won't she just let us talk. She's like a brick wall."
Zoe gives me a sympathetic look while Liam says, "Shit. That sucks. Why exactly are you friends with her?"
Zoe hits his arm and gives him a glare. "Ignore him."
Liam gives me a lopsided grin, "Sorry."
I shrug, "All good. And to answer your question, I don't know."
Zoe was about to say something but was cut off by Cain.
"Guys stop being lazy and help!"
Zoe rolls her eyes and grabs Liam's hand. "Alright, alright!"
She turns to me, "After all of this," she gestures the store, "is over, we're gonna talk."
I nod. She then drags Liam to the other side of the room.
Cain walked over to me, "Hey, are you okay?"
"Ye-yeah, I'm fine."
He nods slowly before touching my arm, "If you need anything, just tell me."
I nod before turning back around to refold the shorts.

Tris looked a mix between sad and angry for the rest of the time at work.
I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket so I pulled it out.
Take Tris out for a date today otherwise the whole deal is off and I'll find someone else to do the job.
I clench my jaw. Why did I get myself involved in this?
There are so many other ways to make money and I chose this one. But then again, Tris is still in love with Tobias, so if I take her out on a date it won't count as anything.
I sigh before replying to Christina's text.
I'll take her out but you have to give me the money tomorrow.
Within ten seconds, a reply came.
Deal.

Hey guys, I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
Sorry if it was a little boring I had a bit of a writers block. On another note, I know that I haven't updated in a while but some of you really need to understand that I have a life outside of wattpad and sometimes I honestly don't have time to update this book so please take that into consideration before messaging me multiple times to update because I know that I need to update, it's just sometimes I don't have time.
But yeah, thank you all so much for supporting this book, it really means a lot :)
