A/N

First I would just like to say holy shit I'm sorry that I haven't updated in such a long time! I'm not even going to try make excuses – year 10 is pretty freaking busy and when I had free time I, as a 15-year-old felt like I had other priorities, I also didn't want to write because I had no motivation and if I had no motivation I wouldn't be coming up with quality content. So, I am back for now and I'm going to try and finish this book ASAP now that I'm on holidays. Thank you to all you readers who stuck around even after all this time.

I dialed the number into my phone and held it up to my ear. He answers after a few rings, "Hey babe, want to meet up?" I hear a quick laugh from the other side of the call, "Of course, meet me at the spot, we have things to discuss."

I feel the vibration of my phone ringing in my pocket. I take it out of my pocket and hold it up to my ear. "Hello?" I say as I snuggle deeper into Tobias' chest. "Tris?!" I immediately sit upright after hearing the frantic tone in my brother's voice. Tobias looks concerned, "What is it?" he asks. I hold my finger up to momentarily silence him. "Come down to the hospital right now," is all he says before hanging up.

I pull on a black jumper and slip into my jeans before heading towards the door. Tobias holds his arms out, "What? No explanation?" he asks. I sigh, "I've gotta head down to the hospital, Caleb needs me." "Well what time will you be back?" he asks slowly. I sigh again, "Not babe," I give him a quick peck on the lips before heading to the door. "Waitttt!" he yells out. I turn my head back to him, "Yes?" "I'll pop down to see you later and I'll bring you food or something." I smile, "That would be great."

I then head out the door and to the hospital.

Caleb's head immediately lifts out of his hands when he hears the door open. "What took you so long?" "Are you kidding me? Caleb, I literally left straight away and I practically ran here in 5 minutes."

He nods, "Yeah you're right, I'm sorry, I'm just really stressed right now." "Why is that? Did something happen to Christina while I was gone?" "Uhh, yes and no, I guess."

I sigh, "Dude, I literally dropped everything to come here, you're gonna have to be more specific and direct."

"Okay, this guy showed up like twenty minutes ago and he just told me that he was the one who put Christina into this coma, shoved his number into my hand and then left."

"Well what are you waiting for? Call this guy and tell him to come here!" I tell him.

"Now?" he asks. "Well, Christina's not going anywhere!"

My brother sighs before running his hand through his already messy hair. He quickly dials the number and holds the phone up to his ear. I lean into the phone on the other side of him eager to hear what this mysterious stranger has to say.

The person answered after a few rings, "Hello?"

"Hey," Caleb replies before taking a breath, "You gave me your number like twenty minutes ago, I'm gonna need you to come down to the hospital like right now." I hear a quick "ok" from the other person before the call ends.

I stand up and quickly stretch before heading towards the door. "Where are you going? Are you leaving already?" Caleb asks in a rush. I hold my hand out, "Dude, I left Tobias' without eating or anything so I'm going to go and get a drink or something. Do you want anything?" He quickly shakes his head and I head out the door towards the infirmary cafeteria.

I grab myself a coffee and a bag of chips before heading back to Christina's room. When I reach her room, I no longer see my brother alone with Christina but I now see a stranger sitting next to him. I slowly knock on the door before heading in. Both boys look up as soon as I enter but only one stands up.

"Hi," the stranger says after extending a hand towards me. I cautiously shake his hand, "hi to you too." He coughs awkwardly before sitting back down. I stay near the door and lower myself onto the ground. I open the bag of chips and start munching on them while Caleb awkwardly watches all of us. I let my eyes drift over the stranger's face. He has pretty tanned skin and dirty blonde hair that reminded me of Cain and Charlie's. He also has heterochromia which was definitely rare in our society. Physical defects were uncommon and basically impossible with all of the medical resources and advancements of today. One of his eyes were a startling blue while the other was half blue and half brown. The stranger clears his throat, "Um, you two look alike." I laugh at his attempt to break the ice, "Well we do happen to share the same genetics so you know.."

The stranger laughs nervously, "I'm sorry, I'm just really nervous. Umm, so I know that I'm not here to make friendly conversation and that you want me for answers but I'm just nervous and I don't know what to say and where to start and I know that I can't say anything that is gonna make up for my mistakes and I- ", he rambles on before I cut him off with a gesture of my hand.

"No offense but I got like no sleep and it's way too early in the morning for your rambling so if you could hurry up and get to the point, that would be great, also it would be helpful if you told us your name so that you're not nameless to us." I say briskly to speed things along.

He clasps his hands together, "Okay. So it started when the boss contacted me a few weeks ago. Up until the point where he contacted me, I was struggling, with you know – money, housing, stuff like that. I never knew who my parents were, so I always thought that he was the closest thing to a parent that I have and the names Jasper."

I nod, "So have you ever met him?"

He nods slowly, "Once. And only for a few minutes."

"Who is he?" I ask. He gulps, "My father."
