Classes...Sort Of

It would seem that Lan Zhan had taken it upon himself to teach Wei Ying as much as he could about Cultivation and the Cultivation world. After all, who else was going to do it? As much as SiZhui and Jingyi were sweet and gentle, the reality was that they had classes, and Lan XiChen had gotten on them about putting aside their studies to keep him company. Though, as much as it pained Lan Zhan to keep the other two away from Wei Ying when the boy clearly liked them it was not much that could be done about it.

So Lan Zhan took the responsibility himself. Though...he had to admit that to his surprise, as long as Wei Ying was aptly challenged he did not pose much interruptions. He supposed it was a side affect of the seemingly endless energy that the other possessed. Lan Zhan had found that if he simulated his brain, he was far less likely to go off topic. His Uncle's lectures would kill him in this case. Of course, this posed quite a few complication for Lan Zhan as well. He was not really used to talking much and to be honest, some of the material was horribly boring. Even Lan Zhan had difficulty forcing himself to sit still during his classes at times.

Needless, it was quite difficult but even still, Lan Zhan had realized that by making up random games he could at least somewhat keep Wei Ying in line and help him remember the information. It reminded him greatly of younger children. He knew that the Lan teachers would not be the most forthcoming, and to be honest, he was not sure that they would really have any good suggestions for him.

He did need help though. He was running out of ideas, and he needed to make sure that he did not get too restless. Lan XiChen was still working on gathering everyone and all of the evidence that they needed, and he could not just idly let Wei Ying go waltzing out of the Cloud Recesses. Besides, he was strong, even without having learned cultivation, he was easily incredibly talented. He needed to learn what he was doing and how to do it before he hurt himself...or someone else. Lan Zhan also found him curious about his flute still, but he was not one to pry...too much more into that at least.

Either way, if he wished to obtain help for ideas on how to keep Wei Ying excited and paying attention he would need to go to the sitters for younger children. He was not...too sure how well this would play out. For multiple reasons, and good ones at that. Children had a tendency to...not like him. All of the Sitters were located in the children's court too, so he would...have to go there. On top of the fact that he was not exactly the best at...speaking.

He wondered if it was possible for him to talk to XiChen and have his brother do this for him, but he instantly wrote that off. His brother was rather busy, but he also knew that he needed help. There was no way that he would be able to keep this up. Next was Sect history. He knew that Wei Ying would find it incredibly dull. Lots of names and dates and births and deaths. He would die slowly, and Lan Zhan would die trying to keep him focused.

He hummed softly, his footsteps tentative. He did not really want to go in there. He had not been in this area of the Cloud Recesses for a long while. Had no need for it. He had only been here as a child, and he was now in his teens. It had been quite a long while, and honestly there were not many good memories of that. The other children had not been overly fond of him, and his teachers had been stumped on how to try and continue to include him with the other children's activities. Then again, he had always been a bit older mentally. Especially after his mother passed, it had become quite the lost cause and XiChen had took over his care.

His uncle had not been overly fond of it but he supposed in the end had realized that it was really  for the best. Lan Zhan had been ostracized even before then. People were just a bit too nervous to make friends with him, and it had increased after the death of his mother.

Lan Zhan did not mind too much either way. XiChen had been a wonderful teacher in his own right, and he much preferred his brother's lessons to theirs. He did know, however, that Wei Ying would better fit with their approach anyways.

So he forced himself over the threshold. Closing his eyes as he stopped before the door he knocked once and waited. It took a moment, amongst children laughing, but the door finally opened, and Lan Zhan stiffened slightly, but held their  gaze.

"I have a few questions to ask of you." He said simply, waiting for their reply. The person at the door gave him a slightly bewildered smile but nodded once and ushered him in. He looked back a bit anxious as he led the Heir through the place, kids scattering upon looking at him.

"I apologize for the mess. If I had known that you were coming..." Lan Zhan just shook his head once.

"No need." He spoke simply, his words sharp. He did not like it when people apologized for things out of their control. It was not necessary. Wei Ying had the same habit.

The master of the place walked him to his office. It was nothing much, but then it did not need to be. He sat down, still tense. Lan Zhan had no idea how to ask this. He closed his eyes breathing deeply before forcing the words out.

"I wish to know of different ideas to teach sect history to an excitable person who looses focus easily." The words were rushed, and breathless, but still there. The man across from him gave Lan Zhan a less tense smile and eagerly began snatching up papers from random places on the desk.

"I've got a few things you could use."
