"Kenma ready to go?"

"Mhm"

The two just finished university at 2 PM. They were going to a laboratory for a drug test.

"How do you even know what laboratory we should go to?" Kenma asked as they walked to the subway

"I made Suga message Bokuto" 

"Suga probably made him cry" Kenma laughed "I'm kinda nervous meeting Bokuto and Kuroo might be there.."

" I'm scared Kenma. What if I was really drugged. What will we do"

"We find another job. My youtube and twitch make money too."

"Let's cancel the apartment hunting for now."

"Yeah I agree"

The two sighed as they hopped on the metro. It wasn't as packed, they were able to sit on seats.

"We are here," Akaashi told Kenma as the metro stopped

"Do we have to walk far?"

"Nope cross the street then like a two-minute walk"

"Okay"

The two walked across the crowded streets of Tokyo.

"That building is the lab" Akaashi pointed ahead

"Sheesh Bokuto is paying right?"

"Yeah" Akaashi laughed

In a minute or two they arrived at the building. It looked like a hotel and it looked extremely expensive looking

"Where are they?"

"I don't know let's ask the front desk"

They walked over to the lady

"Uh appointed for Bokuto Koutarou"

"Oh! Hi sir. Please go down the hallway on the left. Ring the doorbell at the room at the end of the hallway."

Akaashi nodded and they went up to the laboratory

"Do I just ring it?" Kenma asked

"No, you kick it"

"Hello" A tall owl head opened the door, a black-haired male beside him

"Hello"

"Hi"

They awkwardly walked in and sat on the couch

"The doctor will be here in a sec"

Akaashi nodded and turned to Kenma to whisper something

"Pretend I said something bad about them and start laughing" he whispered

"Oh my goshh Kashii you're so mean" Kenma hit Akaashi playfully

"It's trueee"

At the corner of their eyes, they saw the two males confused

"Hi everyone" the doctor walked in

Everyone greeted her

"I'll start straight away. It's a blood drug test. Sadly, Bokuto and the patient are the only people allowed in the room when I get his blood"

"Oh okay" Kuroo stood up and looked at Kenma

"Uh sure. Kashi I'll be in the lobby" Kenma stood up and walked as Kuroo to the lobby

"Hey Kenma wait up!" Kuroo ran to Kenma

"What?"

"I know you hate me but can we talk please?"

"I already-"

"Pleaseee"

"Okay fine" Kenma rolled his eyes "Only cause I left my phone at home"

They sat on the couch to talk

"Okay go say what you wanna say"

"I have two things to say. First is to be safe"

"Safe?"

"You ended up at my apartment was because you were wasted and about to do coke at the party. I was gonna drop you off but-"

"Oh. I'm really sorry for the hassle." Kenma looked embarrassed 

"It's fine. Second is about the ghosting. The reason why I ghosted you was because of a contract"

"Contract?"

"Bokuto and I signed a contract with this agency. It was a weird agency. One of the contracts was to leave everyone from high school and shit. I left the agency for other reasons but the cancellation fee costed a fortune. By the time I left you were nowhere to be found. I searched for you but once I found you, you have forgotten about me and probably hated me."

"It never hurts to try" Kenma sighed "How did you find me?"

"Uhh your stream"

"How??"

"I love watching gaming streams. I was so shocked when I found you. You're kind of famous you know"

"You have like 5 million followers on Instagram." Kenma looked down embarrassed "And no one really knows about my streams"

"I also saw your youtube channel. But dude nice ears"

"Shut up. This dude paid me to do it soo"

"Yeah? How are your mum and dad?"

Kenma's smile faded away. Kuroo knew he fucked up

"A few months after you left I found out my mum had an affair with Akaashi's mum. They ran away together and my dad went crazy. He became a druggie then his business failed. Our mums gave us money monthly but then they stopped. Akashi and I started living together using our savings"

"Kenma I'm so sorry" Kuroo looked at him sadly "Do you need help with anything? Like university tuition-"

"No our parents already handled that before everything happened. Kashi and I both have jobs but depending on the results we might have to leave"

"Let me help you"

"No it's fine"

"Please let me. I am planning to start a website so I need a developer. If you are comfortable with it work for me. The pay is well and I'll get an apartment for you."

"Can Akaa-"

"Yes, Akaashi can live with you."

"Thank you. But how are you so sure that-"

"I saw your boss and Akaashi leave together"

"Oh."

"Yeah."

"Hi, I'm done with the test." The doctor showed up

"Akaashi" Kenma stood up "You good?"

"Mhm. Let's go"

"Yeah sure go ahead I'll just go wash my hands" Akaashi walked out of the building

"Kuroo here is my number," Kenma wrote it down on a piece of paper with a pen he found on the counch "Kuroo. I hate you."

"Talk to you later friend"

"Gross who says friend. Also, don't tell Bokuto about us being uh acquaintances."
