chapter 18

you started to really struggle falling behind  you use all your energy to keep up you run with jeff and clint at either side of you after awhile you hear a loud clicking noise you knew it was a griever from your previous encounter in the maze  everybody stops thomas peeks down the corner 

"is there a griver" chuck asks 

"yeah"

you push to the front taking the caister thing of minho and hand it to chuck

"why don't you take this chuck stay behind everybody"

chuck looks as if hes about to throw up and faint "its okay just stick with me"

maybe teresa wasn't as bad you thought even if she did bully and made you feel like klunk 

"once were though it'll activate and the door will open we stay close we stick together"

you look around the group everybody had the same look full of fear and unrest 'we get through this we get out now or die trying" that's when it hit you in a matter of minutes you might be dead 

you grab you knife the spear in your other hand you all charge forwards the griever at the entrance charges towards the group adrenalin begins to pump through your veins everybody sticks their spears out the griever jumps over them landing on the side it lets out a loud defining screech everybody tries to push it of using the spears its tail sweeps around you duck to avoid being taken out it grabs onto one of the boys throwing them of the edge.  teresa swipes at the grievers leg this made chuck fall over and the canister flew through the air klunk

"the key" he screams 

"chuck watch the edge"

you could see a disaster about to happen you run after chuck who is has half slided of the edge to get the key you grab onto the kids backpack and pull him up just as the boys manage to push the griever over the edge suddenly two grievers  come up over the edge one in front of you and chuck you run towards the group they notice the two grievers and all jump into action using the spears to push them back you join in as teresa takes chuck and runs to open the passage the door starts to open thank god it worked everybody starts to inch back towards the passage the griver catches some builders stick hes trapped between the 4 grievers suddenly hes flung over the edge there is another one gone teresa and chuck enter the code 

"it doesn't work"

"what do you mean it doesn't work" you shout over why trying to push the griever back with your spear thomas runs over to look a griver drops down on top of you lode your spear under its mouth as it tries to eat you you can smell its breath this was the end you thought to yourself 

"get of me" you scream at it your spear snaps jeff charges forward hitting the griever  in the head giving you time to crawl back you watch as jeff is taken of by the griever  you wipe your tears away saying goodbye to your friend by now your backed up nearly at the end of the passage 

you run over to thomas teresa and chuck you enter the code since there clearly useless

FLOAT CATCH BLEED DEATH STIFF you click enter and a you see a button underneath the console you push it the button the stone slabs down the corridor begin to slam shut squashing the grievers everybody stands back the last slab shuts leaving you in the darkness you let out a breath you didn't know you were holding you turn around knocking heads with someone 

suddenly a door opens and you can see you look at minho holding his head and laugh to yourself you all step outside for the first time you notice how many people didn't make it so many people gone only a bunch of you guys left now you all walk  down the dully lit corridor you can hear water in the pipes  you stop at a metal door that says exit you scoff to yourself really so creative
