Chapter 43

They went inside. All children were sitting with their moms. They had speeches, dances, songs, etc. Then they had games for mothers and children.

They called all mothers for modelling. At last, they called all children to give handmade cards to their moms. All children gave cards to their moms and Ash gave to her dad. It was written:

"Happy Mother's Day dad. I love you the most. The Best Mommy❤❤❤❤❤"

Then gave prizes to mothers on basis of their performance in games and modelling.

At last, one judge came to stage.

J: Good afternoon all mothers and hello lovely children. Every Mother's Day we see children come with their moms. This year also mothers came and spent time with their children. I am in this school from last 10 years and this Mother's Day had something different. This year I saw a father who came with his daughter because she lost her mother. Normally, she won't have come as most of students do. But her father came with her. He doesn't has any shame to come when there won't be any father. Only mothers. It's not easy to be a Single Parent and playing the role of both parents and looking in the eyes of that child I can say Mr. Nigam you are playing this role beautifully. Lots of love to both of you. God bless you both. And Happy Mother's Day specially to all those fathers who are playing the role of a mother. Salute to you sir. This year I wanna give a special prize to him. Mr. Nigam please come on stage and collect your prize

Sid held Ash's hand and went on stage. All people were clapping as Sid got on stage to collect his prize.

Host: Sir a few words please

Sid nodded. He took hold of mike.

Sid: Good afternoon everyone. Well I am not gonna give any lecture or something. Just wanna say I am not doing anything special. Whatever I am doing, I am doing for my life. Ash, my life, my love, my reason to live, my everything. I am here because she is here. She is last symbol of my wife, my love. And I won't easy. Definitely it's difficult. It's not easy to raise children when there are both parents. Obviously it's hectic. Job, always she will be on your mind, then you need to pick her up, and everything just alone. But trust me when she smiles, calls me dad, says I love you. It litterally makes my whole day. Everything seems so easy. When she calls you dad, you don't have an option to give up. Thank you

He picked up Ash. She didn't understand his speech but kissed his cheek.

Ash: I love you papa

He smiled and took her down the stage. All people gave him standing ovation and clapped for him.
