Peep in...
I never even thought Ash can do something like that. From where even this thought came in her mind? I don't know what to do. More than her I am angry at myself. I am feeling like I failed as a father. I never thought she will steal money. Am I seriously not a good father?
P.O.V. ends
Sid picked up Avu's pic.
Sid: Avni was I wrong anywhere? I always taught her everything properly. Tried to give her every single happiness. Only to see one day, she stole money. I just can't take it yrr. I am seriously not a good father. I scolded her also today for first time
Sm1: Sid you are the best father ever
Sid looked up and got shocked.
Sid: Avni
Avu: Sid I am proud of you. I can never feel sad for her. She has got the best dad ever. You know what every child deserves a father like you. And Sid can't be always loving her, agreeing to everything she wants. It's ok sometimes you need to be strict. You have to punish the child sometimes. Today what she did was very wrong. She should be guilty for it
Sid was just dumbstruck. He kept the picture on bed and got up and was about to touch her but she disappeared smiling.
Sid: (shouted) Avni
He felt on his knees. He was just numb thinking what just happened. After few minutes, he picked up her picture. He wiped off his tears.
Sid: I got it. You are still here with us and you will always be there. Thank you so much for telling me this
He smiled and kissed her picture.
Sid: I love you and will never let your expectations come down
On the other side
Ash cried whole day sitting on her bed. Again and again her dad's words were ringing in her ears. She was sobbing badly.
2 days passed
They didn't talk to each other. Whenever Sid called her, she just ignored him. She stopped talking with anyone in school.
Ash was sitting on her bed with her legs hanging. Sid came and kneeled down.
Sid: Ashu I wanna talk to you
She turned her face away and was about to go but Sid held her hands and looked at her face. Her eyes became teary.
Sid: You don't wanna talk to your dad? Your best friend?
Ash just sat their quitely without speaking.
Sid: Achha now listen to me. You know what baby maybe if you would have asked me again, I would have agreed. But bacha taking money on your own without even asking, that's what made me angry. You remember when you were small even if you had to eat something, even to buy an ice-cream, to go to the park, you used to ask me. And now will take Rs.7000/- without even asking me? Well thing is not about 7000. Thing is beta ek baar pooch to lia hota. And if I am not allowing you to do something to I care for you. I am not your enemy baby. I love you. Aur hazzar baar sochna padta hai tumhare related koi baat hoti hai to. Aise kaise hnn kr deta hmm?
Ash held her ears.
Ash: Sorry papa
She started crying violently. Sid pulled her in his lap and hugged her tightly. She snuggled into his chest and cried out. He caressed her hair with one hand and back with other. He kissed her hair.
He broke the hug and kissed her forhead, tear stained cheeks, eyes and tip of her nose. He wiped off her tears.
Ash: I am sorry papa. I won't even say to send me on trip. Please papa
She pouted and held her ears.
Sid: Hmm I will forgive you. But I have some conditions
She looked at him.
Ash: What?
Sid:....
To be continued
All those who were saying they feel bad for Ash. Parents can't be always loving the child and fulfilling their every wish. Sometimes they need to scold them for their good. Trust me if I had done something like this, I can't imagine what my condition would have been. If he scolded, it was for her good. She was wrong.
